Just been playing some more and I love it, just tweaking the mids here and there

I really can't wait to play it live and really see what its got! Yea I have been thinking I may ask for a change haha

So managed to be able to play this above 1 without annoying the neighbours I set all the eq to 12 O clock, valve pre amp gain to 12 O clock,pre amp volume to 12 and master volume 9o clock. Man this is loud! Real big improvement from the Trace tone it has a lot of umph in it and sounds powerful. I turned the master to 10 O clock for a laugh, going by my experiance with TE going up one notch really did f*** all, but this was big and I started feeling it in my chest which to me is what its about. I rolled off a bit of 2k and it sounds lovely, the S12 really seems to match well with the GB shuttle 9. I am really pleased with my new set up and the first time in 11-12 years there is no sign of no Trace Elliot! What I really love is now how easy all my stuff is to move,bass on the back,S9 in the case on the shoulder and the S12 being carried. Really easy! I should add that all the DVDs upstairs fell off the shelf!

4x15? How does that sound, bet it weighs a ton?

They are really good basses, as already said they do have a wide range of tone. I think the only downside is the weight. But I can't fault mine! At one point I did own 3 of them!

I don't know who uses the SPB1s but I upgraded my old Squier with them and it made a big improvement over the stock pickups

Excellent, that's exactly what happened with me when I got my S12, thought I had been playing for about 30 mins turned out to be 3 hours!

ah ok nice one yea I don't have a clue what's what inside the amp so would rather someone who knows what they are doing to have a look, I should get a reply from Trace next week, if not I'll send another email

I have sent them an email but got a reply back saying we are all at namm so we will reply when they are back, just tried the ah600 with another cab and now at louder volumes there's pretty horrible crackling noises

Looks quality mate, I love that bass - I'm doing a project at the moment that is a white pbass with black scratch plate!
