Hi everyone,

Doing some more clearing out and for sale is my Trace Elliot 2x10 8ohm 200watt. This cab has been used and has got some small tears in the tolex from being put in and out of the car. It is a good sounding cab and would be perfect to go with a 15 or another 2x10. I have no need for this cab any more and haven't actually used it for a while however it is in good working condition.

I would like £100 for this - cab is currently in Buckinghamshire.

I have actually gone ahead and ordered a super 12, look for the just ordered thread in amps and cabs where I give a bit of info as to my thoughts on the cab as I got it yesterday, but in short, it beats the 410 and 15 put together, so I cant imagine what connecting another cab to it would sound like.......maybe the world will implode?

As for raising it off the floor I think as it is vertically its pumping out a lot of sound so shouldn't struggle in hearing it. Another option of course is to put another cab under/above it

Well my cabs' arrived today and here's the low down.......(poor attempt at a joke )

First thing I noticed was the weight, or lack of it, this thing is light! and I couldn't believe it and if my back could speak it would be cheering that finally after 10 years of lugging heavy Trace Elliots it has something thats light. I can carry this with one hand or tilt it back and use the wheels.

I went for the grey cloth as I wanted an 'old school' feel and for me this definitely looks the part.

I switched my TE V6 onto standby and waited anxiously for the valves to warm up, then I switched it on and set the master volume to 1. I was literally blown away by how good this sounds, I played non-stop for 3 hours on it. Even on volume 1 this was loud!

I am so happy with this cab and the help and contact I had with Alex was excellent, I emailed him the other night at 9.30 not expecting a reply until lunchtime the next day and 30 seconds later got a detailed reply!

I always found that the pre-shape button added loads of bass and treble and cut the mids, where that may sound good when playing alone for me having the pre-shape off fitted with playing with my band so much better. But when I used to have that pre-shape on I was always thinking hmm need more mids in that so using the graphic was boosting the mids without thinking I was cutting them at the same time....anyways hope you get on well with it, I've had Trace Elliots now for around 10 years

Hi everyone,

I am selling my Fender MIM 2001 Jazz.

This bass has an excellent tone and looks lovely as well - pics don't do it justice.

When I got this bass I went to the shop and saw it, played one note on it and was blown away and it was sold.

I have only recently upgraded the bridge to a Gotoh bridge from the stock one and it has made this bass even better.

So why am I selling it? Truth is it doesn't get used any more and has only been played at a handful of gigs and practices since I got her new in 2002. It has a few dents and scratches but thats to be expected from a bass I've had for nearly 10 years. I have always taken care of it and looked after the bass. In one of the pictures on the back of the neck around fret 4 theres a small chip in the neck, don't know how it happened but it hasn't effected the playability and hasn't effected the neck. I played on the jazz before posting this and it is lovely. The strings are well old though, no idea what make so whoever does get this I suggest getting a decent set on there as I think the ones on there are quite cheap.

Thanks for the replies, I have sent Barefaced a question on their website so hopefully will get a reply. Since seeing the super twelve I can see me using that and fitting in nicely, but once I see something I like my brain goes, must have NOW! I would love to just have a room full of cabs that's the dream....
