  1. I'm moving on this beautiful sounding bass rig. Unfortunately I have 5 steps up to my house and I gig and rehearse fairly regularly and im getting a bit tired carrying it up and down. It's quite a lift by yourself. If there weren't steps I wouldn't be selling it! I've also developed sciatica I think on my leg and I don't think it's helping. Not sure if I'm selling the head yet as it sounds amazing but the cab is definitely up for sale! WTP 600 - The best bass head I have ever played - having used everything from Ampeg, Ashdown, Aguilar, EBS, Fender, Orange, EA. It is very warm, punchy and articulate. The added valve drive feature and compressor really works well and really nice driven tones in a way i have never heard from a Valve preamp/ SS power amp head before and really makes this head very versatile. The head has been flight cased in a heavy duty case since I bought it and is in immaculate condition. Eden D410 XLT - Probably the next legendary cab next to the SVT 810! Again, amazingly punchy and articulate and fast. I recently compared the cab to an old classic svt 210 and the XLT won hands down, was so much more response warm and clear and transparent as I was able to shape the WTP 600s eq to mimic the ampeg… It seemed like you get a much truer representation of your basses fundamental tone. Again in very good condition Looked after both amp and cab very well! 800 ono plus delivery for the head or pickup £400 ono for the cab pickup only. Will include the flightcase for the head if you can collect otherwise I'll post it in the amps original box.
  2. No problem, I can see how the head maybe has too many features that a player doesn't necessarily need on an amp. I came from the orange AD200 so maybe I was craving the expanded eq etc haha! I very much like the Aguilar gear, the 8x10s sound incredible and recently played a tone hammer which I found surprisingly very nice - I was put off after my experience of the tone hammer pedal!
  3. I use the new WTP 600 head and D410Xlt and it is the best rig I've owned. I love how punchy and agressive the tone is whilst still remaining warm and the eq is very musical sounding. I jumped from an all valve orange 8x10 rig to Eden and haven't missed the all valve thing at all - in fact I prefer the solidness of the solid state power amp. The cab is very heavy tho and I am thinking of maybe downsizing it to two 1x12s. I disagree with the comment that they try to pack too much into the heads. I think every feature has been considered and is very useful in certain applications and makes the head very versatile. I think the company are having a revival it seems, I've notice quite a few high profile rock bass players using thier stuff now which is great! I should also add I'm an Eden artist so feel free to take what I say with a pinch of salt but they were the company I chose to use, they were the right fit for me!
  4. now up on ebay but open to offers here
  5. bump. This bass really is awesome. Havev't seen such a good example close to this yet!
  6. bump still available - been in the cupboard for a while now due to the le bass being incredible!
  7. bump still available!!
  8. Good point, though it was a nice dead room so maybe it had a helping hand! I just discovered the ampeg neo range and the AV 212s. I hadn't realised they had ventured into smaller cabs, may be worth a look as I'm familiar with the sound of most of the classic range cabs.
  9. Hey, So the Aguilar db112 has since gone. I'm thinking of keeping the head and getting a lightweight cab. I just had a rehearsal this afternoon and ran it through an old mag 410 and it sounded great and I usually hate ash down cabs! Thinking maybe ampeg or Aguilar would suit - some more vintage modern voiced than hi fi modern
  10. I bought an Eden WTP 600 and the 410 XLT this time last year. It was a compromise between my then orange AD200 and matching flight case 8x10 and my little Aguilar db112 and EA micro. I thought it would fit my touring and function gigs - portable enough to get in the car but still loud enough to work on a large stage. Fast forward a year and I've done a lot more local work than touring and after buying a house with steps up to the front door and a change of car from a discovery to a magane I'm starting to think I've made a poor decision! I had a corperate residency over Christmas where I left my rig set up the whole time and I think the luxury had made me forget what s physical struggle getting my gear in the car then loading in/out at venues. I'm starting to think wtf am I doing to myself?! Don't get me wrong my rig sounds incredible, though to appreciate the tone I usually have to stand a good few meters away - that cab seriously projects! With the abundance it seems of lightweight gear available now I'm wondering if I just replace the cab with something else or go the whole way and change the head too. The Aguilar sl and tone hammer stuff has caught my eye and I recently played through one and was to my surprise impressed with its tone. The Mesa stuff looks impressive too although very expensive. The Eden is my dream rig that I've wanted since I was 16 listening to incubus and I feel pretty silly about selling it after just a year. I don't know if I changed the cab what would be a good fit with the WTP head. I think I'm also swaying away from the aggressive grindy rock tone to a more warm and thick tone! I think common sense needs to prevail and realise I'm not getting younger haha! If any of you guys can chip in any advice who have had the same 1st world problem i would love to hear from you! As far as I can see equipment is getting a lot more efficient and powerful and so the days of huge cabs may be gone!
  11. Bump for this awesome bass. Might add a video of it soon to try and demonstrate how well it plays/sounds!
