My hands and what I play and the way I hear music.

Yeah, it really is an amazing pre. Soundguys have loved it. I lugged this around Glastonbury for 7 or 8 shows and it worked flawlessly, especially when the backline was not great or to my taste shall we say! I'd love to keep it for studio use but want to go the way of the Quad Cortex. Since doing gigs that involve flights and crazy festivals having something like that just makes life easier and also I cam capture my Hartke rig which makes sense for me to do as an endorsing artist as everyone knows your rig doesn't always get mic'd up!

Very reluctantly putting this amazing rack preamp up for sale. Such a versatile tool. It's in excellent condition and I have done the the little mod to combine the channels within the unit. Comes with the box and manual etc. Sounds absolutely amazing. Photos to follow You can hear it in action here from a BBC TV Session at Glastonbury. https://youtu.be/1Jm1tjrCXbI?si=UK69cec5VHynryt0

Selling my Corona Chorus as it's just not getting any use! Great Chorus pedal and pretty versatile with the tone prints and editor etc. I never really got into it but always loved the Chorus sounds I got from it. In good condition, I think I have the box somewhere but if I don't ill make sure its securely packaged up for delivery. One cool fact is that it was used on a track on Phil Campbell from Motoheads Solo record with my fretless thumb bass. Can't remember the name of the song but I'll post a link here if I find time! £70 delivered.

Moving on my brilliant Audio Kitchen The Small Trees. The pedal adds an amazing warmth and sheen to your tone and creates this awesome feel when you play through it. It's hard to explain! Combine it with a di box and you get an awesome valve DI. It's in excellent condition and only used for studio work and of course comes with the 12 volt power supply. £325 delivered

I'm always tempted to get one of these! The LH 1000 is doing an incredible job though, so much power and what seems like an incredibly fast amp though I think that's just in my head!

Took the Euro LT to a rehearsal last night. I absolutely love this bass. The tone is really growly, seems to sit perfectly with just a small boost of treble and bass. Compared to my Warwicks the Spector just has a bit more bite and attitude to the sound. The way it responds to your playing and just the way it feels to play, I found myself suddenly doing some doug wimbish type techniques 🤣😅. It's like like it pushes back against you in a really good, satisfying way! So happy.

Thanks for the info. Just fitted the straplocks to the bass, got quite stiff on the last few turns. I guess the Spector screw was a little shorter than the dunlop so bit a bit further into the wood. All seems fine though!

Oh amazing, I think that's my preferred choice. Think I might invest in a new strap too! The levys I've been using on the alpher is coming to the end of its life and I have a mono one but found that im always concious of it whilst i am playin. I would assume they use the same strap buttons on the LX and LTs!

What do people recommend for straplocks on the euros? Was considering just getting a nice, new strap and using the grolsch stoppers but it would be handy to have an easy way to remove the strap. Used dunlop straplocks in the past with no issue, just worried about screw size for fitting them.

No problem! I had a dreaded moment yesterday where I thought there was a crack in the fretboard. A few photos sent to Barnes and Mullins today and they've reassured me it's just a patch of open grain and have offered to fill it and blend it in for me if I was worried about it cosmetically but I think I'm OK with it!! Can't fault those guys at all, so helpful and really love the brands they distribute here! Been playing it more tonight! I think the barts are quite dark but cracking the eq open a little really opens things up and you get that deep edgy tone I love!

There you go. Bass sound is the alpher and the Geddi lee rack thing with the channels merged.

I don't play in a band as such but work as a session bass player. Currently playing with an artist called N'famady Kouyate. I'll find our Glastonbury TV performance and drop it here..

Hey, yep my first one! I'm not usually a fan of bartolinis and more a fan of EMGs but it sounds good and the darkglass preamp seems quite aggressive. I initially thought I wanted a Classic 5 in black with EMG J pickups but I'm glad I went for the LT with that 35" scale.. The B string is outrageous..usually as I play further up the neck the notes lose their definition but on this they ring clear as if it was an E string! Blew me away. One thing I noticed was the pickups were really close to the strings, is this normal with LTs?

Well it arrived, suddenly!! Was stressful as I wasn't at home so luckily my parents patiently sat in my house and waited! Amazing. The low B is incredible. The bass balances incredibly well, it's a nice weight. The finish is flawless! The sound flat is very full a natural, there's a lovely mid-range to the tone and it'll be interesting to open the control cavity up and see how it is set! The darkglass pre is very powerful!! Don't seem to need much boost or cut. The treble to my ears at least really gets that bitey spector growl! All first impressions but very impressed! Always played Warwicks before!
