Anyone remember this bass of mine.......is it still around? Looks nice!

For that money these would not be new but...... The Alleva Coppolo's are expensive but they are great playing basses. I've had a couple of Sadowsky's, they didn't really float my boat but I did try a four string a couple of years ago that I really liked. Celinder also makes fantastic basses. If I had to pick only one bass it would be........................between Celinder and Alleva - not bothered. Edited to add that you could search for longer and find an equivalent Fender - I played two brilliant Fenders last week. One of them only cost a few hundred pounds too!(Japanese)

Birdy, Fingerz and I had a mini-bash today - took a few pics. I'm into five strings but the two Fender Jazz basses were the stars of the day for the other two. Jo plays an eighties Japanese Fender Jazz and Birdy just bought Ari's 70s Jazz. The amazing thing is they both sound and play FANtastic. We were saying we should record all these basses and have people pick their favourite tones. I think plenty people might be surprised at the results - Interesting day. Thanks Steve and Jo.

Hey Chris Really chuffed that you like the tone of the cabs. I'd like to have tried them with a big amp like a Aggie DB750 or maybe an Orange AD200 - think they'd be great.

Unless you are being tongue in cheek it's funny this comes from someone with the basses you have? Ten grand on a bass can seem an outrageous amount or it can be pocket money.To the vast majority of the worlds population the cost of a MIM Fender Jazz would equate to a Bentley to most of us.

Chris and I finally did a deal yesterday - total pleasure to deal with as expected. He denies it but I suspect he is either A) SAS or MI6 so if he says I was nice it's only cos I was a bit scared!!! (Sean Connery voice.......' Q you're a sh*te, a sh*te for shore eyes' ) Cheers Chris!
