SOLD Up for grabs is loaded Squier Jazz body. The body itself has a few dings and there are several scratches on the back - not too deep, but they're there. Pick-ups sound fine and it comes with everything apart from the neck - I can't guarantee I've got a neckplate and screws, but if I have, I'll chuck them in, too. The neck that came off it was approx 62mm at its widest point, so unless you're handy with a Dremel, just check your neck will fit. I have it on good authority that it's a Korean Squier, if that helps... £45 gets it posted to you. Cheaper if you can pick it up from sunny Halesowen.

Tardy to the party, but I've always used these guys - initially because they're a local business, but subsequently because their cables are brilliant quality and keenly priced. Ultimate Pro Audio Ltd http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Ultimate-Pro-Audio-Ltd?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

Hi chums, Here's a decent condition bass neck from what IU think was a Wesley bass. It feels somewhere between a P and J. Plays nicely and the truss rod works. Complete with comedy decal. A couple of minor dink-ettes on the back of the neck. £20 posted or pick it up from Halesowen and save a couple of quid.

SOLD SOLD SOLD Here's a Squier Jazz bass neck that I de-fretted myself - obviously it's far from a pro job, but it's nice and smooth and plays well. The frets are filled with epoxy and the fretboard has had a generous application of hard lacquer. Yeah, you can see a few marks that the tangs made on their exit, but its Punk Rock, innit? A playable neck for not much dosh - the truss rod works, no nasties on the back of the neck and a "hilarious" decal design. £35 posted with the perfectly fine Squier tuners and string tree. £25 for the neck with no hardware. Stick a quid on for a neckplate and screws in OK nick. Or make me an offer. What's the worse thing that could happen? Based in Halesowen in the West Mids - pick it up and save a couple of quid and have a cuppa.

Neck plates and screws
rushbo posted a topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
Hi there, The parts box purge continues... Two neckplates - one Squier 20th Anniversary plate - a few small marks, but nice and shiny. With screws. £2.50 posted The other - generic P/J bass plate - some light scratches but decent nick. £2.00 SOLD -
Hi Basschat, Here's two sets of tuners from Chinese Squier P basses. One set is in good nick... a few marks, but 10 minutes with some Brasso would make a helluva difference. All bushings and screws. £9 posted. The other set is a little pitted and has one mis-matched screw. All bushings present. They all work but they're not as pretty as the other set. But they have mojo (cough). £7 posted Please note, these are Chinese Squier tuners - 1cm (approx) diameter and with that rather odd "two dummy screws per tuner" arrangement. They do the job well tho'. Based in Halesowen, West Mids if you want to pick 'em up.

Hi Basschat, Here's two sets of Squier P Bass pups. Removed from Chinese P basses and both working fine. They come with with pots and input jacks attached but no earth wire, screws, springs, nuts or washers. A few marks on the covers, but generally in decent condition - the mark on the lower pup is a weird trick of the light! £8 a set posted or the pair for £14 I'm based in Halesowen, West Mids, so you're welcome to pick 'em up and save a quid or two.

SOLD Here's a set of Fender Mexican tuners - I think. I'm pretty sure these are the tuners I replaced with a set of black Hipshots not long after I bought my Mexi Jazz. I can't be 100% positive, so I'm knocking them out at a reasonable price for a set of good quality tuners. Complete with bushings and screws. £16 posted. I'm based in Halesowen in the West Mids, so if you can pick 'em up, I'll knock a couple of quid off and chuck in a free cuppa. Not literally.

I was at the Brum show last night too...I was hoping that Roy Wood might pop out for a quick kick around the park, but sadly not. Great band, great set, great sound. I loath arena shows generally, but this was done just right.

He's a great example of a really solid, understated player that does exactly what is right for the tune - whether its a straight, root note pump-fest or a tangled, funky groove. Fantastic dynamics on that Phil Collins tune, too.

A real hero of mine...what a player. An inspirational work ethic and a monster Bassist. Legend. Always great to hear some fIREHOSE.

Another super speedy delivery from KiOgon. Yer a wizard!

Just taken delivery of a Badass bridge from Steve. A nice, easy deal with great communication. Buy and sell with confidence.

I've got a Badass on my Jazz and it does a great job. As for it being a significant upgrade on a BBOT, I'm not sure. Aesthetically, I think they're an improvement. I have a Schaller on my Precision which gives you the option to alter string spacing too. To sum up...go for a Badass if you see one at a sensible price as they are lovely bits of metal.

Martin answered a "Wanted" ad and supplied me with a set of Gotoh tuners at a great price. He got them to me with indecent haste. Top bloke. Buy and sell with confidence.
Conversely though I absolutely definitely would buy this...
...a scene from Ritter HQ: Work Experience Boy: "Excuse me Mr Ritter, what would you like me to do with these weirdly shaped offcuts, these broken Christmas tree lights, these mismatched knobs and this four gallon tin of mega-ultra-supershiny varnish, sir?" Jens Ritter: "Leave it all on my workbench...I have an idea. Now...was Willy Wonka a real confectioner or did someone make him up...?"
