Trade/swap only. My Barefaced Big Baby for your Barefaced 210

What bass and cab are you using with it?

I tried a Snapdragon folding guitar recently and it was very impressive. I haven't tried the bass, but judging by the design and build quality of the guitar I would say it's worth a look.

I found rolling off a little bass and low mids around 9 o'clock gave me a bright clean tone on the Streamliner, though to he honest I usually ran it pretty flat. The Magellan is better, but the Streamliner is still one of my favourite amps. I think I'll hold on to mine as a backup, mostly because they don't seem to be selling very fast on here at the moment.

For the tweeter? Usually just below half way, but one of the things I love about the BB2 is being able to adjust the tweeter, I usually leave the amp eq alone and adjust the tweeter up or down to suit the room.

Not sure if I want to do this, but worth testing the water. I have a Barefaced Big Baby 2 and it's great, clear and loud, but I think I want something a bit more smooth and vintage sounding. I think maybe a Barefaced 210 might be what I'm after. If you have a 210 and feel like a swap or a trade let me know. I'm not really interested in selling, unless a 210 comes up for sale.

I've been after a Genzler Magellan for a while, but I haven't been able to justify paying to upgrade from my Genz Benz Streamliner 900, but the more I've heard about it the more certain I was. I finally picked up one on here from @Deedee which arrived today. It arrived in the morning, I popped home from work on my lunch to check it was in one piece, then I decided to use it for a gig this evening. I was a little reluctant to gig it without trying it properly, but all the reviews and sound clips suggested it was easy enough to get a sound from and I brought my Streamliner in case it didn't work out. I have to say it is great, it sounds phenomenal with everything flat, and after a little tweaking I've found just a touch of the A contour with a flat eq is perfect for me. Our engineer (who is with us most of the time) said the di was a bit hotter but pretty similar to the Streamliner. I am very happy with it, having said that I was happy with the Streamliner too, but this feels just as fat, but less muddy. And that's after only one gig. ** in case it's important, I use one Barefaced Big Baby 2 cab. I like it a lot, but have been thinking it might be too clean sounding and possibly something a bit more "vintage" might suit me better, maybe a Barefaced 210. I'll get some pics on the next gig, was a bit too busy tweaking to take photos.

Just bought a Genzler Magellan 800 from Dan, as quick and easy as it could be. Pleasure to deal with.

I finally got my hands on a Genzler Magellan, so it's time to let this go. It's absolutely amazing, but I haven't used it more than a few times over the last few years. Various class D amps have just been easier to manage for my function gig. It's in a functional but old SKB 2U rack case, and I will pack it well if it has to be shipped. I'm based in Edinburgh but happy to post within the UK. I also have a Proline 410 that I'm planning on keeping, but could potentially sell the whole rig if it was collected. I would sell them together for £600 I'm not looking for trades, but could be convinced by a John East MMSR 2 band preamp, decent cabs, nice compressors or decent effects pedals, though I already have a lot of these.

It's not loud enough, and the Genz Benz sounds a bit better for wedding band stuff, the HD350 is probably only running 200W or less with the 8ohm cab. I'm really happy with the GB/BF combo for that gig. I just find myself using it more often for my original band too, and the EBS would sound better for that.

I've booked in to my mates recording studio for a day soon, just to set up all my gear and try it at a good level. I'll definitely keep the Genz and the BB2 they work really well for my wedding band. I would like the Reidmar, but I won't get one with the proceeds from the HD350 and I'm still really reluctant to sell the 410. I'll try them all in the studio for a whole day and see how I feel after that. Cheers for the advice so far.

I'm really not fishing here, my subscription is paid and I'll put up a sales post IF I decide to sell. I'm also not showing off, well maybe a little. So I have a lovely EBS rig, a HD350 and a Proline 410, weighs a tonne, but it sounds great and moves a lot of air. I also have another, smaller, rig with a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 and a Barefaced Big Baby 2, it also sounds great, but it's really light and actually quite a bit louder. Thing is, I never really get around to using my EBS gear any more, it just sits there looking great, and reminding me how lovely that glassy EBS top end sounds. I am reluctant to get rid of it, because it sounds so good, but I feel bad about keeping it. My choices are sod it and keep it, I might get a chance to use it a some stage. Just sell the head, because a 4ohm 410 will probably be useful at some point. Or just sell the cab, because I will probably want to have the EBS tone in something I do again in the future. If I sell it I might buy a Reidmar, or some other useful gear. If I keep it I can stay safe in the knowledge that I have one of the best sounding rigs ever tucked away for whenever I need it. Any opinions on how I should handle my first World problems?

This is a well used, but well looked after piece of gear. Comes with box, manual and even the EBS sticker from inside the box. There is Velcro on the bottom and I don't have the rubber feet, but they should be easy to replace if required. I'm selling this because it's really just being carried around as a backup to my amp these days, and a normal DI box will do fine if I ever need it. I would consider a swap/part ex for a Trace Elliot Elf or possibly some good effects pedals. I'm in the market for a Genzler Magellan 800, so would definitely put this towards one if anyone is selling. I'm based in Edinburgh, but happy to post.

That's what I was thinking, I'm a bit of a Star Wars geek, so maybe an imperial insignia.

I have a Chris McIntyre Jazz bass, made in Edinburgh, it is incredibly good. I wanted a custom string spacing and nut width, and a lot of the other custom builders charge a lot of money for things like that. I'm not really interested in fancy woods and finishes (though Chris can do that too), and it is (in my opinion) the nicest Jazz I've played.

In my quest to get rid of gear, I've found myself with some more gear. My favourite is this Musicman Stingray Classic 5, it is a really great bass, and the treble control is exactly what I wanted it to be. The only problem is the black/rosewood combination is a bit boring, so I'm thinking a new scratch plate could make it look a little better. Any ideas on colour? I'm thinking tort, or maybe clear but with a sticker or logo underneath?
