  1. Tech21 MIDI Mouse for £50: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/289385-fs-%3B-reduced-source-audio-sb2-multiwave-bass-distortion-midi-mouse/
  2. Host them somewhere else like imgur.com then paste them in! If you wrap the link in IMG tags, or just use the image button on the compose message toolbar, they will show up directly in the post like this:
  3. [quote name='Basszilla' timestamp='1472944938' post='3125562'] Slightly off topic, but does anyone know what pickup is in a 95 us standard p-bass? [/quote] Not being flippant here, but that would be a '95 Fender American Standard Precision Bass pickup! As far as I know, they started putting the Custom Shop 62 pickup in from 2012, but before that it never had a special name. It's likely that the specs varied over the years too, I know 2008 era ones sound quite aggressive for example. I really like the one that came stock in my 2004, I did the usual pickup upgrade only to find I preferred the original!
  4. A tip - view the Songster website on a mobile device and it behaves just like the app, only missing a couple of more advanced features like looping and soloing instruments. This way you can use it for free!
  5. Check out Disaster Area: http://www.disasterareaamps.com/product-category/midi-controller Also AMT make one: http://eshop.amtelectronics.com/router-footswitch-selector/amt-electronics-fs-2midi-footswitch-midi-controller.html
  6. The other option course is to build a bitsa, there are loads of 7.25" Jazz necks to choose from!
  7. That solves the issue of output levels from the pedal, but the main reason I want this is to fix the input levels into the pedal, e.g. an envelope filter that needs a boost before it to make it useable with a quiet passive bass.
  8. [quote name='Coilte' timestamp='1472836078' post='3124688'] So, unless your "lost/stolen" bass is within 10 metres of you, it can't be located ? [/quote] Not unless the thief has the app on their phone or happens to stroll past someone else who does whilst carrying the bass, before the battery runs out on the transponder!
  9. SFX or COG custom job would probably be the best route. Digital switchers might be expensive and overkill. Wounded Paw make a couple of blenders with the loops switchable from parallel to series but they are pretty large: [url="http://www.woundedpaw.com/fx/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=12"]v3[/url] [url="http://www.woundedpaw.com/fx/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=13"]v4[/url]
  10. Thanks for that - any chance of doing 'It Gets Funkier'?
  11. If it's a Big Muff derivative, a feedback loop. I added a momentary switch to my Bass Big Muff for this to link these two points, it boosts the gain and makes everything a little crazier:
  12. [quote name='Cato' timestamp='1472714185' post='3123467'] I was hoping for Flea but got Geezer Butler. I've never really listened to Sabbath so I'm not sure what to make of that. Still we both come from Birmingham. [/quote] I was hoping for Geezer Butler but got Flea, wanna swap?
  13. Looks pretty cool... Not sure why I need to buy their gadget when I could probably just use a teaspoon or something though! http://www.guitartriller.com http://youtu.be/BIbBe5mpuwg
  14. [quote name='blue' timestamp='1472685905' post='3123374'] Ok, well it says I'm Geezer Butler. Who's Geezer Butler? I'm serious. Blue [/quote] Not a Sabbath fan then Blue?
  15. You see some of these mega boards in the breeders thread on Talkbass where they can have several Source Audio, TC, Strymon etc then start to wonder how much delay they're adding if they were to switch them all on! The TC pedals have a cool feature though where than the dry part of your signal in a delay for example passes through an analog signal path, being blended with the repeats from the digital converters just before the output.
  16. [quote name='deepbass5' timestamp='1472668950' post='3123157'] The hard stone surfaces were not able to handle it it it it it [/quote] Is there an echo in here?
  17. There's a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar V, but the necks are wider and shallower with a smaller fretboard radius (i.e. curvier) than the Yamaha. I prefer flatter boards, narrower nuts, and a bit of chunk depth-wise, so find the Yam necks more comfortable. You might be the opposite of course! Schecter make some too.
  18. My BB1025X is 4.6kg, but my old BB415 was noticeably lighter. I never weighed it at the time but I wouldn't be surprised if was a shade under 4kg! Another one to look out for is the MTD CRB 5.
  19. If you're interested in sub-shortscales, this is worth a read: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/sub-short-scale-talk.644956/ This one's pretty cool too: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JQHfBsyAbc[/media]
