1. That 3-band alnico sounded awful next to the other two. Maybe to do with how the EQ was set (how was it set)? Still, I would've thought the preamp on the regular non-classics should be the same. Aren't the 3-bands cut/boost with centre detents, and the 2-bands boost only on the bass and boost/cut on the highs with no detent?
2. I advise you to snap up the Source Audio OFD currently going in the classifieds. It does overdrive, distortion and fuzz in one unit, has a clean blend and EQ and can sound massive. There's a lot of good and bad sounds in it, but it can do a really good tubey overdrive and Big Muff sound.
3. Long time no bump! Now £35 posted
4. Bump, looks like this might head to eBay if no iOS bassists want a piece of this!
5. How about this? http://www.ehx.com/products/super-space-drum
6. Only used a couple of times since new, still minty fresh in box with power supply. £170 new, will deliver to a UK address of your choosing for £125! NOW SOLD
7. If you go DHA get the most recent model as the older ones supposedly have noisy headphone amps!
8. Was going to suggest the PJB Bighead but it doesn't have a thru output, it's designed to be used more for headphone practice. But if that's all you want it for I can thoroughly recommend!
9. They are definitely lighter and more comfy than the Beyers! They have more clarity too. But I'm very used to my DT-770s and they have a slightly dulled treble response which works better for me as I almost always have some kind of dirt pedal engaged!
10. This is the latest filter creation from Mike Beigel, creator of the original Mutron III. Widely regarded to nail the original Mutron III sounds with even more options including a blended bandpass mode and a switchable adjustable preamp to adjust overall volume. I bought this direct from the manufacturer site last year, snagging one of the limited edition signed versions. This one is even more rare as it is labelled Mu-Tron instead of Tru-Tron - they were unable to use the Mutron name in the US due to copyright issues, but somehow they were allowed to use the name in Europe. These pedals are now out of stock on mu-fx.com. Why am I selling? It's a contender for the best envelope filter I've ever used, but I really want to try out a Lovetone Meatball and don't want to have over £600 tied up in filters! So would trade for a Meatball (as long as it's in good condition). http://mu-fx.com/store/trutron-3x/ SOLD
11. Bought this to try out but it's not for me... Basschat's 'Official' Best Pedal of 2015?! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/275972-so-what-was-your-favourite-pedal-of-2015 Basically as new in the box, only tested at home, even comes with a power supply! £45 posted - SOLD
12. Bought these recently to try them out but I prefer my trusty DT-770s. They have had very little use and are in excellent condition along with the original packaging. Stock pic below, I can upload actual photos tomorrow (if they are still here!). [s]£55 posted[/s] SOLD A couple of reviews: http://bassmusicianm...dphones-review/ http://andreweverard...n-of-the-price/
13. If he were trying to con he wouldn't post the Mexican serial and a pic of the headstock saying Made In Mexico. Bless his cotton socks, perhaps he's just a few sandwiches short of a picnic.
14. Same goes for overdrive/distortion/fuzz, except they are even more divisive!
15. Darkglass BXK is a perfect fit for the Dingwall NG-2 and Thumb. I think they sound best with a naturally scooped growly bass and not so great with a Precision though (I prefer the Vulcan with a P). If you're after something more compressed and amp-like, yet still growly as you like and works wonderfully with just about any bass, check out the Aguilar Agro or VT Bass. The Creation Audio Grizzly and Two Notes Le Bass also would also fit well but I've yet to try them!
16. The reason you don't see any responses or bumps is that you aren't allowed to respond or bump! Reason is I believe people were abusing it by posting their for sale items as responses instead of paying the fee to list them properly.
17.
Probably the EHX Bass Soul Food for me. Great sounding drive for very little money. Nuff said.

Bass soul food. Amazing pedal. Superb value for money. I wouldn't do without it now. Fits in every situation I've used it

I agree on the soul food,my best for the year

EHX Bass Soul Food for me.

EHX Bass Soul Food for me too. Is always on and has helped my Genz Streamliner come alive and cut through a Guitard heavy mix. Love it.
Official BC Pedal of the Year?
18. Great idea, could never be bothered with the full on composition challenge, but I have oodles of noodles!
19.
I reckon you're right.
I shall post a pic of my sunset orange / tort / cream P later...
20. Nice! Tempted to offer up a Tru-Tron 3X as a trade, let me know if you're interested!
21.
I don't know if you guys have seen this vid (it seems new). It features a Frog with an ACG/East filter preamp with familiar looking pickups. In fact the general look of the area of the bass shown in the vid is very familiar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh2asjr2k8c
Look a lot like Wal pickups to me, anyone have any idea if they are similar?
22. My fave uncommon colour combo on that Sandberg - would look even tastier with cream coloured pickup covers I reckon!
