1. Plenty of people rave about them though too, so don't just be put off by my opinion! Not everyone likes the same pedals, there are plenty that get glowing reviews that I think sound like crap!
2. I'd recommend the Hardwire CM-2 over the Joyo Vintage Overdrive if you want a cheap bass-friendly tubescreamer - it has a lo/hi EQ and I've heard plenty of glowing reviews for it, whereas reviews for the Joyo drive pedals are very mixed. I thought the Ultimate Drive and American Sound were pretty poor.
3. I must say, I absolutely hated the Ashdown J-Lo and EBS Billy Sheehan pedals. Each to their own!
4. I'd steer you towards a VT Bass, VMT / VMT Deluxe, or Bearfoot Blueberry if overdriven amp tones are what you seek. I don't suppose I could tempt you with a fuzz though? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8gR4v61UTY
5. Is that a shelving control though, as in it affects everything above 2.8K? I have a passive Warwick bass that I want to add a preamp to, but it has low output pickups that could do with a boost - this pre does not have an adjustable overall output level trim like some others so I don't think it's right for me unfortunately. I'm tempted to sell it and put the funds towards a Dingwall NG-2!
6. Sounds quite good at low gain, but has some of that ODB-3 flavour at high gain still.
Still, to my mind almost anything would be an improvement over their existing bass OD.
They don't make an OD at present! The ODB-3 is a mislabelled distortion/fuzz and one of my favourite pedals of all time! When used properly, it destroys.
7. Hmm, the Scrambler was an octave up fuzz if I recall that didn't sound very good on bass to me. Since they've named it a 'Scrambler Overdrive', let's hope it's a different circuit that only shared the name!
8.
The best I've ever received was a bass from ebay, the seller just put it in a single black bin bag and taped the top shut round the headstock. How it wasn't damaged I'll never know.
I've had an amp like that too!
9. Ok, currently on hold for Stephwin, anyone else interested can PM me and I'll be in touch in case things don't work out!
10. Bump!
11. Practically brand new, freshly imported and just used for a few days at home! [s]£135 - £125 posted[/s] NOW SOLD www.blackartstoneworks.com/pharaoh-supreme
12. The Phat Phuk B has an internal gain trim control, the main knob is just output volume. Also check out the Earthquaker Devices Speaker Cranker. Another one knob boost, this time the knob controls the pre gain only. The breakup is much more pleasant than the Phat Phuk, which I find transitions into harsh clipping / brick wall limiting pretty easily when playing agressively with a hot bass, which neuters your note attack somewhat.
13. NOW SOLD Excellent condition, velcro applied. This is the now unavailable purple Fromel-finished variety (new ones are a very plain metal and black). Comes with original box, instructions and drawstring bag. Could possibly trade for other filters, especially a GR1/GR2, Enigma or Manta. £140 posted
14.
Trades at all?

No trades please.
15. Just paid for a 3Leaf Wonderlove from lento yesterday afternoon and it arrived today well packed and as described. Top BC'er!
16.
It certainly sounds a bujillion times better than the Boss ODB-3
As an overdrive pedal yes, but not as a mutant-rabid-distortofuzz-monster that I use my ODB-3 for! I've not found a pedal that can replace it!
17. It's a good pedal but far king massive compared to the Mosquite. Btw, I was looking for a mini blender recently and Wee Lush FX do one similar to the Mosquite and are selling some slightly ugly protypes on eBay for £60 (the proper ones are £80). They don't look as good but will do the job! http://r.ebay.com/EKFEZH
18. Input pad, blend and higher internal voltage - looks like EHX are properly catering to bassists for once!

20. What's your verdict on the C9 vs B9? I have the B9 buy looking to get the new one!
21. At 50/50, the wet and dry signal will usually be less than unity, so that when blended together you have roughly unity in the end. This way, as long as the pedal in the loop is set to unity, then you will have the same overall volume no matter where you have the blend knob set. If you want to push the overall volume up a bit you can just increase the master volume of the pedal in the loop then adjuster the blender slightly more towards the clean channel.
22. COG Knightfall 66 - £135 posted Much loved distortion pedal on here, this is the custom version with 5 internally selectable clipping options per channel, blend and hi/lo eq. Recently purchased on here and selling on for the same price! Good condition, velcro on the bottom. smallsound/bigsound Team Awesome! Fuzz Machine - £120 posted My favourite bass fuzz - only selling it because I have two! This one is the latest version and has only been played for 5 minutes from brand new then kept in the box, so it's pristine. Not after any trades except an EHX C9 or Mosquite Blender, and they are priced at what I want to sell them for so no low offers please.
23. I have two P's, a butterscotch blonde with a black plate, and a sunset orange with tort. So, those.
