The tiniest bass wah there is! The size of a standard Boss pedal, yet surprisingly easy to manage. Great for those of you with limited pedal board space. True bypass too! I am however stripping my effects right back to a handful of pedals, board space is no longer an issue and I fancy a G-Lab wah, so this one is up for grabs! Very little use, looks like new, comes with original box. SOLD

This is the most versatile wah / envelope filter on the planet. So many options, however I find I just stick to my favourite wah preset so am looking to go simpler with a G-Lab Wowee wah instead. This has two filters in parallel, with a clean blend and built in drive circuit, all analogue but with digital control, presets and software interface for PC/Mac. For example you can set one filter up as a bandpass wah and the other one as a fixed lowpass filter to mix in the low end. It has some unique features as well such as being able to open the filter automatically the higher the note you play, or have it triggered when you bend a note. Very little use, never gigged, no velcro, mint condition with box. I had a BB415 and note have a BB1025X. The P pickups on the BB's are fatter and darker than what you'd find on a Precision. I preferred the brighter sound of a real Precision pickup to the ceramic one in the 4 series, but the alnico one in the 10 series sounds amazing, definitely worth the upgrade. To answer your question though, what kind of sound are after? Precisions can cop a lot of tones, from rounds played with a pick with the tone control all the way up, to fingerstyle with flats with the tone rolled off. If it were me, I would try and find a way keep both! The P strung with flats for the real deal vintage P sound, and the BB with rounds for its awesome rock growl when both pickups are on!

The sound I just got playing my BB into an SFT into my Ashdown CTM15 just ten minutes ago.

I contacted Prymaxe about the shipping and they have reinstated the lower price shipping option! $15 and takes around 5 days, bargain. I bought a couple of pedals from them when they were doing 21% off everything last weekend. Top tip - the discount codes don't apply to all brands because some makers enforce minimum selling prices. However, if you use the live chat and talk to the staff they might give you an alternative code to use!

Nice review - try and get the FuzzMo in next!

Went in the post today for you - sod's law dictates the postie will try to deliver it while you are out picking up the other one! I think the American has decent low end retention, but as mentioned above, the low EQ is centred a bit higher than most bass specific pedals, so if you boost it you could end up with a bit too much 200Hz mush. I've not tried the other Joyos, but I'm already a happy chappy with the VT Bass.

Is the British not a Marshall emulator like the Tech 21 British?

Zoom MS-70CDR, bought new from eBay only a few days ago. I bought this as I really wanted to try shimmer/particle reverb on bass, and whilst it does sound lovely, I've got it out of my system now and it's not something I'd really use, so off it goes to fund other toys! There's some great bass dedicated chorus/flanger/detune/EQ models and also some reverb models can filter out the lows from the wet signal, just what you need on bass! Absolutely mint, only used a couple of times. £70 posted http://www.zoom.co.j...oducts/ms-70cdr

Just gave it a test - the problem with the volume is that it comes before the preamp instead of after. Rolling off the volume also affects the tone, definitely rolls off a bit of treble.

I bought these on a whim just because they were so cheap and were getting rave reviews (see http://www.talkbass....clones-1031566/). What can I say, I am going through another pedal splurge at the moment so will be buying and selling quite a few until this GAS subsides! Both pedals are only a couple of weeks old, hardly used, mint condition (no velcro), and come boxed. First up, the Ultimate Drive. A clone of the Fulltone OCD, but with better low end retention. Clip: https://soundcloud.c...joyo-ultradrive £18 posted Next up, the American Sound. A supposed clone of the Tech 21 Blonde, which emulates Fender amps. Again, plenty of low end with this one. Clip: https://soundcloud.c...nk_10/joyo-jf14 £22 posted Or get yourself the pair for only £38 posted!

I run mine with volume on full, bass and treble both on about 9 out of 10. It is hotter than my other basses, but it's only an issue if you want to switch basses mid set, or if you have a pedal or amp that doesn't take kindly to hot input signals. I find I can control the volume easily with the volume knob if I need to, mine isn't like an on/off switch. This is also the first maple board I've actually got on with, all others I've had have been really glossy and plastic feeling, but this has a nice thin satin finish. Also the neck is slimmer than the Stingray and Ray34 as mentioned above.

It's a great little bass. Apart from being rather hot, have no issues with the stock electronics, it works fine with the Terror Bass which an active pad. I did try out a Stinger pre-EB style 2-band EQ, but went back to the stock one as it had more bite. I have considered the SD setup too, but am just really happy with the stock sound at the moment! Also, fitting a 3-band EQ would mean having to route a new hole for the jack socket on the side of the bass.

It's called 'The Billy Sheehan Signature Drive'. Catchy, eh?
-
You might be able to mod it depending on what it is? Saves having an extra pedal on board to finx another.
-
The strings might be a little floppy, but nothing that couldn't be fixed by seeking out a thicker guage set of strings! Might be difficult to find the right ones in 30" scale though, but there are also places that do custom sets relatively cheaply so nothing's impossible.
-
Strange it only says 'GP11 Pre Amp' on the front. I hope there is a power amp in there as well!
-
Add the Sonuus Wahoo to your list. It's not just a pedal wah, it's also a mighty fine envelope filter. Also the Source Audio Manta.
-
Totally different sounding pedals really, depends what sound you want. Some will say one, some the other, and some neither! Do the Team Awesome Fuzz Machine, 3Leaf You're Doom, Amptweaker Tight Fuzz and Malekko Diabolik have a look-in here, or are you just interested in those particular two? (I've probably just made your decision harder now lol)
