1. Indeed it is! It looks cool but the ultimate reason I don't get on with it is I've come to realise I prefer narrower necks. These chunkier ones are definitely more comfortable to hold but not so easy to play fast on with small hands!
2.
Not mad on the colour, bridge or pickup choice! Cool idea to him a sig bass though

I want one.
Ah, the fickle nature of GAS!
3. If I may - 12kg for the cab and 4.5kg for the amp. I have one of these cabs and love it, sounds like a quarter of an Ampeg 8x10 with a little less low end heft. Great for using with fuzz distortion as there's no tweeter.
4. We still don't know what colour it is! Pics would help!
5. MDF body? Are you sure - never heard of Squier using MDF!
6. Interested to know how come you have this - have you ripped it out and put your own preamp in?!
7. It doesn't suck other than that it is too loud - but you can fix that with a £5 XLR attenuator!
8. I've not found they need a high action - you might need to tweak the truss rod though if coming from a higher tension set.
9. Funny thing is, all those problems you are describing are how I felt about the Streamliner! Lack of low end, scooped, lacking in volume and dynamics. Now I have the Terror I have bags more volume and low end! It may be scooped with the controls set to noon, but you can EQ out the mid scoop if you want to. It scopes pretty much flat with mids on full and bass and treble all the way down.
10. I've not seen those 15W and 100W CTM valve heads before either!
11. It says XLR out on the left hand side, surely it does? Only thing it doesn't have is the blend control and bite button.
12. What, like this one?
13. Ooh - a 'BITE' button! Sold - I always wanted the VT sound in BDDI format.
14. This thread deserves pics!
15. You should definitely give the Terror bass a try if you haven't already. The clean headroom, hot DI and noisy fan are all easy and cheap to fix, and if you want very clean and very loud there's always the 1000W version! I went from the Terror to the AD200B, then back again, ultimately because of the light weight and the fact it didn't need regular servicing. The tone is close enough that I was happy with the compromise.
16. According to the measurements made when Bass Gear Mag reviewed it, 'flat' is supposedly mids up full, bass and treble all the way down. I run mine with mids and treble just past 1 o'clock and bass just past 10 o'clock, into an Ampeg SVT210AV.
17. Only seen those BB5000's in black before, never been a fan of gold hardware but it works with the creamy white!
18. RBX270F? My first ever bass!
19. Just tried looking up vids of these basses on youtube but I could only find 3 videos of rambling Americans waffling on about them. I did find this though! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QMbyPtf_ys
20. If I had one of those I think I'd have to string it up BEAD! I bet a low B would sound thunderous with both pickups on.
21. I bought some strings from Strings Direct recently and whilst I was on there thought I'd see what picks they sold when I stumbled across these: http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/p/914692/jumping-cow-leather-ukulele-plectrum-black/ It's like a big stubby triangle but made out of thick stiff belt leather. The top side is harder and shinier and the underside much softer, giving you two ways to use it. Sounds good on the P-Bass with flats. If you like playing with picks but don't like the harsh attack they give you, give one of these a try for only £2.99!
22. I've played a ton of gigs in London - the couple of times I got paid I was well chuffed. Nearly had enough to buy a packet of (cheap) strings.
23. I know. Most offer about £1 or nothing at all though!
24. Seems fairly standard to me, generous even, offering £5 per head after 20. Welcome to London.
