I quit one 6 months ago - Crybaby Deathmatch. Their current bassist will be moving overseas soon so they will be looking again soon! They are London based though Wooks so might be a bit far.
But if you just want some new stuff to listen to have you checked out Acid King?
Look out for a used Ampeg Micro VR stack? Runs at just under £500 new so should come under £400 used. Loud enough to gig with also, especially if you add the 2nd cab:
Got an Ampeg SVT210AV yesterday - a quarter of an Ampeg fridge at under 12kg. Sounds sweet and tempted to buy another to stack! Definitely one of the best value lightweight cabs out there.
[quote name='LiamPodmore' timestamp='1335439898' post='1631074']Again, just had a listen to a few youtube videos and this doesn't sound too bad, although it seems a bit too much like the higher gain settings on my Behringer for my tastes, but thanks for the quick reply. Might pick one up and have a play with it anyway.

The Bad Monkey can do low gain barely-overdriven sounds, which is where it sounds best. It sounds similar to the BB Preamp.
Quite a gaseous year for me. Selling off my Orange rig and gone for something more lightweight, tried the Promethean but now ended with with a Streamliner and Ampeg SVT210AV, with a Barefaced Midget on the way.
Pedals - bought and sold a Zoom B3 and got rid of a lot of unused stuff. Only new item I'm hanging onto there is a Tech21 Oxford which sounds great.
Basses, I had inexplicable GAS for a Stingray so bought and pretty much straight away sold a Ray35. Was tempted by a BB1025X to replace my BB415 but sticking with it for now. Only GAS I have bass-wise is the new 2012 model Schecter Hellcat VI, just to try something a bit different:

I don't think the 210 is overkill for home practice, considering it occupies such as small area and is pretty cheap to boot. Only downside is the handle on top getting in the way of some heads unless they have big feet on the bottom (which I think the GK ones do from memory).
Ampeg SVT210AV? About £260 new and under 12kgs so very light. It's like one quarter of an Ampeg 810 cab, which might be bigger than you were thinking of but it has a very small footprint and the extra height makes it easier for the mids to reach your ears! Should be perfect for the kind of rock your band plays. I just got one today and it sounds brilliant.
Sounds so good I'm gonna keep an eye out for a second one to perch on top!

Your band sounds great by the way, I remember searching for a similar cover band for my wedding a while back (before I decided to bugger off abroad) and you guys sound far better than any of the ones I could find!
Another idea is to just buy a pedal for the sub harmonics stuff. A DOD Meatbox or an octave would do the job - Ashdown make an octave pedal too, I wouldn't be surprised if it shared the same circuit.
Ashdown blue would clash terribly with an Orange cab anyway. Just ask Gok Wan. You should buy my AD200B instead!
The two outputs of your amp, or the two inputs on the cab are all wired in parallel so you can either plug them both into the head or chain from one cab to the other, doesn't really matter.
Glad you got it sorted!
Just because they're young doesn't mean they can't use Formingband, Partysounds, Musofinder, Gumtree, local rehearsal studio billboard, etc does it? Just state clearly in the ad and title the ages you're looking for.
I'm not sure about the VS cabs weighing more than the LB's. I emailed Ashdown a while back when they came out and they told me they were identical except the VS212 is a 4ohm cab and the LB212 is 8ohm. I also think they were lying about the weight of the LB cabs, somebody was selling an LB112 on here recently because it turned out to be 15kg instead of the advertised 9kg! Not sure what's going on really.
I've always fancied getting one myself. I'm not to great at the drums but brilliant at slapping rhythyms on my belly. A cajon would probably sound even better.
It may well have been yours originally, it has changed hands a couple of times since so someone may have lost it! I'm sure Matamp would provide a new one if anybody wanted one.
