1. Hi, I get the following error when trying to search my PMs: basschat.co.uk Driver Error There appears to be an error with the database. Any ideas?
2. Bass Direct! http://www.bassdirec...s/Sandberg.html Although according to the site they only have a very tasty looking used PM4 in stock...
3. Consider a Kala U-Bass into a small portable combo - it sounds a bit like a DB and will give you more impact visually when people wonder WTF it is that you're playing!
4. Just put mine up for sale and have been asked if it was the one from eBay! I wish!
5. No, I bought it from this very forum 2 or 2 weeks ago. It's a great amp, but I want the same light weight with a more tubey sound and no tweeter so am going for a Genz Streamliner and Barefaced Midget!
6. This combo has seen very little use and looks brand new. No pics yet but looks exactly like the stock pics! Amazingly light and loud - weighs 26.8lbs in total but you can unscrew the head and place it in your gig bag, leaving you with a super light cab that you can hand carry on public transport without breaking a sweat. LOADS of volume on tap from the 500W head and the speaker handles it well, plenty of grunt for small gigs (and larger ones with PA support). These are now discontinued and have been replaced by heavier lower powered models with fewer features! £400, can arrange a courier also as I have the original box. 7.
Also, did you know that Matamp fit Celestion drivers to their 212's as standard? Eminence are fitted as a special order with an up-charge. The money you are asking for the quality of the rig means someone is going to get very good value. I can't see this hanging around for long.
Hear that people, grab a bargain! I did snap up both the head and cab for a good price on BC, so just selling for the same amount I paid.
8. It has 'tighter' more controlled lows, meaning it doesn't extend as deep as ported cabs, but has plenty of punch. Think more classic bass tone, like the sealed Ampeg 8x10. Still lots of energy down low where it counts in the 60Hz region! There is no tweeter so it has a nice smooth top end, which sounds GREAT with fuzz and distortion feeding it. Also, the drivers in sealed cabs are usually more consistent in their impedance rating throughout the frequency range, whereas the drivers used in ported cabs tend to have a big peak in impedance at a certain frequency. Valve amps are designed to work best with a constant impedance load, hence valve heads usually being 'happier' when hooked up to sealed cabs. Solid state and hybrid amps aren't so fussy and work well with both types of cab.
9. There's a similar guitar just gone up on eBay too: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Jaguar-Baritone-Custom-Fender-vi-Flight-hardshell-case-Bass-/140731922771?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item20c446b953#ht_500wt_1413
10. Looks like Sh*tty Link are the problem here rather than Interparcel the middleman.
11. Yes you are - you should buy my Orange AD200 which weighs 55lbs instead! (And if you want something that weighs 77lbs my Matamp cab does) What are you after then, an SVT?
12. Ah come on, you can always get someone to help carry it, and a little bit of back pain never hurt anybody!
13. There seems to be lots of cheap Gallien Krueger stuff being banged out through Soundslive and Thomann among other places, might be worth checking those out! http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~Gallien-Krueger-410MBX-Bass-Speaker-Cabinet~ID~15011.asp http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~Gallien-Krueger-210MBX-Bass-Speaker-Cabinet~ID~15010.asp These are meant to be really good cabs too. £239 for a 410!
14. I did see your ad, but was not convinced I wanted to sell it at the time! Tell the truth I'm still not, but I now have 3 amps in the house and want to try something else so shifting the lot!
15. Really impressive - I'd like to hear that cop a cranked SVT!
16. I have here a lovely Ampeg B100-R Rocket Bass combo. Blue check cloth, silver grille, and very close in sound to the old B-15. Check out the love for this amp over at Talkbass, it's well regarded, and will suit you down to the ground if you play Motown/Funk/Soul. This is one of the original built in USA models before they shifted manufacture over to the far east. Good condition, no issues. [s]Yours for £300.[/s] SOLD! Definitely no postage due to the weight and lack of suitable boxes, but you can pick up from Croydon or I can deliver to within a reasonable distance. I will also be travelling down to Poole for the weekend around the 5th of May and often drive up to Cambridgeshire, so anywhere around those areas could be within my reach also. The only trades I am interested in are:

Barefaced Midget
Genz Benz Streamliner
GK MB Fusion
Ashdown MiBass

17. Head now gone, cab should be gone tomorrow! Time to let this big boy go. I'm no longer in a band, and if I go to jam with some friends I just take the Promethean combo which is much easier to carry! I bought the head around a year ago, and in that time just used it for two gigs and low volume bedroom practice. I believe the guy I got it from bought it new and hardly used it either, therefore it's still in very good condition and looks like new apart from a little scrape of the tolex underneath where you won't be looking anyway. Comes with a surprisingly useful home-made cover made out of a thin stiff foam and gaffer tape! The cab is a Matamp sealed 2x12 with ceramic Eminence Delta 12A drivers in matching orange colour made to the exact same width as the Orange head. No Matamp badge on the front, just a label on the back, and it has a black grille cloth. Also comes with a Roqsolid cover. Cab details: 55cm wide x 36cm deep x 70cm high For those of you that haven't caught up to metric units, that is 21.5" wide x 14.2" deep X 27.5" high. Weighs around 35kg / 77lbs! 18. Status Groundwounds are great too.
19. I've tried a few things to create a foam mute for my P-Bass in the past, but have recently ordered a couple of odd looking objects from eBay as experiments! Hair Bun Maker: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230729571087 I just received this one today and it works a treat! The foam just fits under the bridge barely touching the strings, but since it has a metal strip running through it, it's easy to bend it into a slight arc to get just the right pressure under each string. I also ordered one of these aquarium filters: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170811180838 Judging by eye, the 20mm pipe diameter looks roughly the same as the distance between the ribs of the sponge cylinder, which is roughly that of the string spacing at the bridge. I'll cut it into segments and see how I get on!
20. I really like it too - any chance of a trade for the Ray35 in my sig?
21. I've been thinking of getting a baritone to play with too. Not sure whether to go for a bass VI style E-to-E like the Schecter Hellcat VI, or the more common B-to-B baritones like the Jaguar/Les Paul/Danelectro models...
