1. I know you're after a black one, but this is much nicer, really! Bump!
2. A white BB1025X went unsold on eBay earlier on for a starting bid of £500 - I would have bid but I really want a black one!
3. I preferred some of the grittier amp sims of the B2, none of the B3 ones really float my boat except for the B15 which cops a good Motown sound. Pretty much every other effect is miles better on the B3 and there are individual blend controls for the effects, the entire patch, as well as a separate master blend. The filters and compressors are particularly good which is something tat let the B2 down also. Anyway, this is now sold!
4. Well it's not definitely sold yet, so let me know if you want to be next in line. Popping out for a while now, will check the thread on my mobile!
5. Lots of orangey goodness being sold on here as of late. I've been toying with the idea of selling mine for something more portable too but I don't know if there's anything lightweight out there that can match the sound!
6. Cor, might have set a selling time record on here! It's a great unit Kev, but I've found that I only really use overdrive/distortion/fuzz on bass, which I already have covered in other pedals. Most of the fx are excellent, but I don't need them. It is a bargain though considering you get a drum machine, looper, tuner, audio interface, etc all thrown in too.
7. Boss HM-2 for sale, one of the older Taiwanese versions that takes the ACA power supply. This means it takes a 12v power supply, unless you are using it on a daisy chain with other 9v pedals when electrical voodoo happens to allow the pedal to be fully powered at 9v. It's in pretty good condition for it's age, just a couple of small scratches and it comes with it's original box. I don't have time to sort out a pic right now but will do so later on. These are quite sought after and getting harder to find one that hasn't been trashed these days! £45 posted. SOLD
8. Selling my practically brand new Zoom B3. Mint condition, never used outside of the bedroom, not even been on the floor my foot has not even touched it! £120 posted, knock a fiver off if you can pick up from Croydon or meet between there and Waterloo / London Bridge during the week! NOW SOLD
9.
Have a bum for a awesome sound!
Nice amp for sure, but I wouldn't go that far!
10. I bought one of these 'Muflers', I don't recommend them as they damp the strings far too much. I might try squashing it under something heavy for a while to reduce its size!
11. Perfect (for me), somewhere inbetween an P and a J. The 5-stringers are very easy to play due to the narrow nut, perfect if you've ever been put off by other 5'ers in the past.
12. Nice score. Never heard of Wilkes, but it has Schaller tuners and maybe even DiMarzio pickups in it so well worth £25!
13. You can easily mod the Bass Muff to give you more control of the wet/dry blend if that's the sound you want - it sure is smooth, and also rather cheap. The new MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe may be worth a look also, it's a Tonebender type fuzz with separate wet/dry volume controls.
14. I have a matching '79 T-40 too! My favourite sounds out of it are both pickups with everything at 10, played hard, with a pick, into a tube amp or overdrive pedal. Also the same setting but rolling off the tone a tad at the bridge to fatten it up. Another good tip is that if you want to solo the bridge pickup, I believe flipping the phase switch will end up using the single coil further from the bridge which sounds a bit meatier.
15. I wonder what would be the better outcome - spend an extra £140 for an Epi T-Bird with Gibson USA pups, or buy the regular one plus a set of upgraded pups...
16. Er.. wrong link? Waterstone Tom Petersson TP-12 String Bass on eBay?# Found a silver Thunderbird here though: http://www.andertons.co.uk/electric-basses/pid23421/cid682/epiphone-ltd-ed-thunderbirdiv-bass-in-tv-silver.asp
17. I have severe GAS for a BB2025X. Sean, did you get a chance to compare to the BB1025X/BB1024X range?
18. I think it might be speakon only like the head, but I sold mine a long time ago so don't count on me!
19. They sprayed over the frets, fretboard, jack socket, bridge mounting holes and neckplate?!
20. What about the Ampeg SVT 210 AV? It's sealed and is one quarter of an 810. Stick an Ampeg Micro VR on the top and you're good to go - that amp supposedly has a nice amount of built in grit too.
21. No such neck problems on my Ray35, the neck is great and the strings sound balanced. The balance problems you heard were probably due to the strings used and how it was set up.
22. I'd say a good overdrive/distortion/fuzz, as that's the effect that multis are usually worst at. Should get some good usage in the indie/rock band.
23. The Owen Gremlin and Markbass Distorsore do the same thing as the Lomenzo - I've owned all 3 but quickly sold them on as I didn't like their sounds at all. You end up with a big mid boost which makes the bottom end drop out if you have to reduce the overall volume to match effect on and off, and the sound is a bit like a distorted half-way wah pedal mixed with your clean sound. There are others that do the same trick too, like the Iron Ether QF2 and Empress Multidrive.
24. Anybody got a pic of the new Jade Pearl Metallic finish? I'm thinking British Racing Green. Would look great with a black plate and maple neck methinks.
