Line 6 M5

I can't beleive you've got these in stock already - I'm sure I read a Line 6 rep on a Talkbass thread only a few days ago confirming the rumour of it's existence but unable to give out any details. Plus it's not even listed on their website yet!
4. Just got my Proton in from Bass Direct as Spencer and Tone Factor are out of stock. Have a Xerograph Deluxe incoming also! Currently using a Freaker wah into a fuzz which sounds absolutely filthy, the Proton can't really pull off the same trick but it's still a great filter.
5. Micro Fuzz sold.
6. Multi-FX are good for some effects but not so great for overdrive/distortion/fuzz in my experience, which are the bread and butter of my effects. You'll see that plenty of gigging bassists in your genre will use a Sansamp Bass Driver DI to add a bit of grit to their sound and to send an amp-like sound to the PA. Kind of an industry standard gigging and recording tool, definitely worth thinking about trying one out, as well as their VT Bass pedal. Any idea what kind of effects you would find a use for? I use a low gain overdrive to boost when the guitars get louder and a Bass Big Muff to add to that when things get really heavy. Then a chorus or phaser is useful for slow passages, and you can also work in filters and octavers if used subtly in the right place.
7. I realise that but I'm in no rush to sell, so rather than spending my Saturday afternoon procuring a box and taking a day off to wait in for a courier, I'd like to see if anyone local is interested first. All good things come to he who waits... SOLD!
8. Good, just checking - I bought a used set on here a while back and have yet to fit them!
9. It's not just neodymium, China has a monopoly on many rare earth materials that we depend on: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/8385189...chnologies.html
10. While we're on the topic, do the 760FL set have red silks?
11.
No, but then I don't need more headroom from it. I should really give it a go and pick up one of those voltage pumps
Diago have them for sale even if their website says otherwise. I got an isolation adapter for the Freaker wah too, all running from the Johnnyshredfreak! Both adaptors come with right angled tips now too.
12. Tried the SFT at 18v yet Ste? It's my OD of choice right now, the BB is looking on in jealousy.
13. Only if I get no joy selling locally. I don't have any suitable packing materials or much free time to go and find some! By the way I should be going to Coventry for the day on Tuesday (via train) if anyone around that way is interested.
14. To the top!
15. Here's the circuit: http://www.muzique.com/lab/pickups.htm Max at SFX does custom work, might be worth asking him?
16. Good lad. I rarely take mine out of the house but I don't care, it sounds too good to sell!
17. If you decide to sell the cab please let me know!
18. Already paid for I'm afraid. How about an X&M instead?
19. By the way, anyone after a case for these, this is a perfect snug fit, with a bit of spare room down the side for cables: http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/music...sp?id=3877-4748
20. Supercollider and S&M now sold.
21.
Is there any secret to using the Muff alongside an Overdrive pedal? My ODB3 has a selector for distortion, but it very quickly turns to muck.
Run an overdrive / boost into a Bass Big Muff set to dry mode and you get a super heavy yet defined distortion. You have to mod the BBM with an extra volume control to make the dry mode useable though!
22.
no way crazy i know that cakeshop up by the now closed blockbuster
Are there any still open now that we have internet?
23. Even worse still, you can only view it when logged in as Yorick. How about attaching the pic here or via imageshack?
24. Can't go wrong with one of these: http://www.johnnyshredfreak.com/store/inde...;products_id=12 http://www.johnnyshredfreak.com/store/inde...products_id=248 http://www.johnnyshredfreak.com/store/inde...;products_id=17 The brick fits under a PT Junior, or in the slot of a PT Mini, probably a Nano but I've not tried!
