I've decided to hang onto the head at least until I can find an Ashdown Little Bastard or other old skool valve amp to compare it to. The SP210 cab is however [s]still for sale[/s] SOLD! This cab is the smallest 2x10 ever made, and I'd say it probably has the deepest low end extension too. You can really feel the bass vibrating through your body with this one, no problem hitting those brown notes! It's virtually brand new, only ever used in the bedroom, not even played at gig/rehearsal volumes to break it in properly. Not a scratch or mark to be seen, and is still wearing it's 'Made In England' tag tied to the carry handle. Lowest price I can find online is £440, I will sell for £330 picked up or £350 delivered. No need for a photo because it looks just like this:

I've come to the conclusion that since I only ever play with an overdrive pedal on, maybe it's time I traded for a dirtier amp. I have here a Markbass CMD121P in good condition complete with cover. I bought it used (but not abused) from this very forum and it's only seen bedroom use from me. It contains the LMII head and sounds the bees knees! As is typical with these, the rubber on the handle is starting to wear but this is easy to fix - in fact I will email Markbass to see if they can send me a replacement! Ideally I'd like to trade for either an Orange Terror Bass or Ashdown Little Bastard, I'm also after a decent 1x15 cab, ideally an Orange OBC115. Failing that I would part with it for £550! Sorry, no postage.

How about adding another cab? Best way to get the sound you like but with more volume. Otherwise check out the Barefaced Compact / Big One, they can take lots of power before fartage sets in. Let me know if you want to sell the OBC115!

It does hiss, but I think it sounds pretty good for what it is. I bought a used one on eBay so I can play bass in the garden along to my iPod!

I'm a big Geezer Butler fan, and in a fit of GAS I splurged out on one of these recently. I've had a lot of fun with it but now I'm almost bored of playing NIB over and over again so think I will put it up for sale to fund my fuzz lust... This is a 100% faithful Tycobrahe licensed reproduction of the original Parapedal, as used by Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, the same pedal used on on NIB. Play this into an overdrive pedal or even better a dirty tube amp and it nails it. Here's the product page: http://www.chicagoiron.com/parachute.html I can't find much in the way of clips on bass, but this guitar video should give you a rough idea how it sounds (you can hear how deep it gets at 1:16): To import a new one would cost $380 + international postage + customs charges, which comes to around £300. I'm after what it cost me, which is £200, including postage. It's in mint condition complete with a rather cool box and all the paperwork: Oh yeah, and this pedal uses a positive ground so you can't daisy chain it. Run from battery or a separate power supply (not supplied), or if you really want to power it on a daisy chain then you can use a Gigrig Virtual Battery or Diago Isolation adapter.

An alternative way of doing it - EHX Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai has a built in filter so you can get top end delay without muddying up your low end. That ebay item mentioned is a crossover alright but isn't designed to accept the signal from a straight passive bass, and you'd still need an extra box to miux the signals back together again unless you're bi-amp-curious. This would be ideal if you can build one yourself: http://www.moosapotamus.net/THINGS/paraloop.htm. I bet Max at sfx would be able to cook something up to suit!

I am currently gassing for a Blackout Effectors Musket v2, it could potentially replace my Supercollider and Bass Big Muff.

Markbass Mini CMD 121P - simplest of upgrades

Me too, if it's easily reversible and doesn't require a soldering iron! -

My favourite setting was when it was turned off.

It could definitely be rehoused into something smaller, and there are plenty of people on this board that would probably be willing to help!

I've got the Fender Sublime, you can get similar sounds out of the Bass Big Muff. I know you said no muffs, but you should try this one, it's much more low gain and vintage sounding, with bags of low end. In dry mode it blends in clean signal so doesn't take over your sound, although there is a problem of a volume boost in this mode, but it sounds so good that I might try modding it. The Fender has a built in blend to retain low end and note clarity, so maybe you should either look at getting a separate blender or checking out fuzz pedals with a blend built in. In which case check out the Wounded Paw Attack Goat and Wren & Cuff Pickle Pie B too! Mammoth, Mastotron, Blowtorch etc, sound a bit too heavy and synthy perhaps for what you're after, Cameltoe.
