1. If you don't mind an extra string you can get the 5-string version cheaper than the 4 for some reason at £269 with free delivery: http://www.rattleanddrum.com/product/3111/...ne-red-5-string
2. There's room for a 3 way deal here folks if someone wants to buy this Jazz so Old Horse Murphy can buy my P5! Which will turn into a 4 way deal once it goes to his friend!
3.
Cheers Zoe - it is distinctive and the band laughed at me at first but I'm well pleased with it's sound and looks. If anyone could tell me how to post a bass without a case...
If there's a guitar shop nearby you can alway ask them if they have any spare boxes... I thought this would be up your alley Zoe, saw your purple Westfield P elsewhere around here! Thi would look great with a black scratchplate...
4.

Who the hell is that?!
5. Somebody here wants one: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=74405 I'm even tempted myself, it would go nicely with my CMD121P! Would part ex for my P5 if interested, but Mrs Geester may have something to say about that! So would Mrs Dannybuoy come to think of it...
6. I've heard good things about this particular pedal, it's a clone of the much sought after vintage Boss DC-3: http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/...CC300-Pedal/94B
7.
Some of those Traben bridges upset me..
I think they'd look cool if you were in a metal band: You can buy those bridges (or reproductions at least) on eBay too! Although the sun and flame versions do look a bit naff. I personally hate basses that have been pimped with gold hardware and pearloid scratchplates. Too much bling, innit.
8. Keep it for playing Black Sabbath covers!
9. Well, it's a P-Bass - it works for everything! You're welcome to come and try it any time, just send me a PM if you're interested.
10. In my old band we had a drummer that used to slow down throughout a song, and throughout the set. He didn't last long! A later drummer used to play everything too fast and get obnoxious if we asked her to slow it down because she had a degree in music and we clearly didn't know what we were talking about. The guitarist / songwriter used to just follow the freakly little metronome in his own head rather than me or the drummer and I felt that I was the only one holding it together. I'm not in said band anymore!
11. Get the 1000W version which will be able to go louder at with the gain knob lower?
12. What's the board made out of? I really like the look of this thing - don't suppose you have any clips of it recorded, I've never heard a piezo fretless?
13. £600+ is common. £500 is a pretty good deal. £350 is sale of the century, especially if it's only a couple of years old. Post pics if you get it. If you don't get it, tell me where it is!
14. It has a dedicated 'AGS' overdrive stomp switch, although a complaint I've heard is that it boosts the volume so it's not the kind of thing you want to kick on and off mid-song.
15. All products come with 30 day money back guarantee! http://www.machinadynamica.com/machina33.htm
16. Them Wonky Donkeys?
17. Can I see a pic of your Muff?
18. Looks tacky IMHO!
19. You could try a capo on the 3rd fret - instead D standard tuning!
20. Sorry, not interested in trades at the moment, I'll be here waiting if you sell your amp though!
21. Use Boots padded plasters, the thick white ones. They will likely need replacing after a few songs so keep a bundle in your back pocket! I did this once and it got me through a gig pain free. I would never use superglue myself!
22. Nah, I'm hanging onto it for now, although I may pick up a used BBM if I see one so I can compare them side by side. I discovered last night that VT Bass -> Sub-Lime sounds sublime! The fuzz is pretty mellow by itself, hitting it with a bit of a treble boost sounds awesome.
23. I've seen them go for £100, but some have priced them much lower at around £80.
24. Accidental Insertion
25. I received Theo's one yesterday and I'm liking it so far. It is quite subtle compared to my Supercollider, but on the other hand it handles high output basses much better and the low end absolutely ROARS. A very useable bread&butter fuzz sound that retains definition very nicely. I think it will be a keeper until I can find something that sounds as good in a smaller package - I want to check out the Bass Big Muff next!
