1. I've sold it now, but I had a nice Warmoth SG for sale on here a little while ago: Not all the Gibsons / Epis are short scale either. The Epiphone EB-0 is shortscale and the EB-3 is longscale and has dual pickups. Not too sure on the Gibsons but I believe there are both type floating around. I've also heard that the Epis sound very muddy compared to the Gibsons, but that might be what you're after!
2. Nowt wrong with trying to sell it for more than he paid for it - £500 sounds like a bit of a bargain for this, they look to be £1100 - £1200 new. trouble is expensive gear seems to be moving slowly at the moment unless it's really popular stuff like a Fender bass for example.
3.
Is it just me.....Or does it look like its had a 3 bolt neck put on a four bolt body?? Look closely at the picture of the back of the bass, and use the zoom option
"The neck and body join is to an expert professional standard." My arse!
4. The Pedaltrain Jr with soft case is much lighter, which is a big deal if you're lugging stuff around on public transport. By the way, the Spider Engineering medium pedalboard case is a nice snug fit for the Jr, with room for cables and stuff or maybe even a volume pedal down the side: http://www.spider-engineering.co.uk/music/...sp?id=3877-4748
5. The Blackstone sounds really good on bass: http://bassfuzz.com/2009/02/08/dirt-review...-overdrive-2sv3
6. My favourite colour for a P by far. Just missed out on the one that was sold on here - let me know if you ever decide to sell it!
7. I've always used the harmonic vs 12th fret - how come it gives a false reading?
8.
(No pound sign on my keyboard)
If you're using Windows, hold down Alt and type 0163 on the numeric pad. Or run 'charmap' and select any symbol you like. Yours Sincerely, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Geek

10. He wasn't asking for £100, just saying that's how much they were at Dolphin Music. Wow, I didn't realise how cheap these were, the Memory Toy's out too. Love to hear someone compare it to the Carbon Copy!
11. If I'm right, these discontinued silver ones were liked more my bass players than guitarists. The new purple bass version is pretty much identical to this one, and they made a lower gain version for guitarists.
12. Hence my change of avatar! Arrived this morning, thanks Spencer!
13. You can use a laser printer with regular paper - the toner is etch resistant and you can transfer it using an iron. Then you just need to get a little DIY etching kit from Maplins. But if you only want this one off board then it's probably better to get someone else to do it for you unless you see yourself making a bunch more once you've finished that one!
14. Pyramid Gold flats on my P (the silkiest smoothest flats out there), DR Sunbeam rounds on my Peavey T-40, and Status half-rounds (which look and feel just like flats but are in fact ground down rounds) on my Yamaha fretless.
15. There's a BB415 in the for sale section, bargain price too!
16. The Supercollider will definitely do what you want, but I bet it won't sound a million miles away from the green muff you've got now. Lots of old green muffs used in Doom bands! Another pedal to look into is the Sanford&Sonny Bluebeard / Fuzzrocious Green Stache (which are just built from GGG tuned muff kits).
17. Hmm, I've been looking for one of these... but in black! You should also tell us where you are in case someone wants to pick up for a discount. Is it like this one?
18. Markbass Minimark and Micromark are worth a look along with the Phil Jones stuff for a clean sounding high quality practice rig. Since they are pretty clean and flat sounding they will be a good replacement for the power amp setup if you will still be using your POD for practice. You could even step up to the CMD121P for around £500 used which will be loud enough for gigs yet still very small and perfect for home use - ideal if your main rig blows up or you can't be arsed carting it to a gig.
19. It's because they're hard to do right, it's not easy to design a great sounding easy to use pedal that also has great tracking. Also because they have (or at least used to have, I think they're becoming more popular now) limited market potential, hence 2 of the best synths out there, the Deep Impact and Korg G5 being discontinued a long time ago.
20. You mean Tech21 XXL, no such thing as a Tonefactor one!
21. I've got a 1979 T-40 which is the most indestructable bass known to man!
22. Damn, looks like I missed out on this, and I think I'm just about to sell mine too! I'll have to look out for another one, that colour is perfect - plus it goes with my Markbass amp!
23.
Nice colour.
Shame they discontinued it. I'd love this bass but need to sell mine first to free up some funds!
