1. And sold to the man with the pointy Sauron bass!
2. Back up for sale folks, also added a low gain clip and knocked a fiver off the price, so only £30 posted now!
3.
I bet if you put it on ebay with worldwide shipping you'd get a lot of interest from across the pond
Instead of paying the hefty eBay fees, I'd rather pay for a supporting membership so I can post it over at the Talkbass classifieds. Should be able to shift my Bassweet on there too!
4. Nice - for some reason, to me the only bass that looks good in blue is one of these!
5.
Does the Option 5 actually work well with bass? I thought it was a guitar effect that could also work with keyboards.
Works brilliantly. Slow mode is very subtle, like a mixture of trem/chorus/flanger/phaser/univibe, fast mode is much more throbby but sounds very much like an authentic leslie. Check out Led Zep's Heartbreaker, it can sound pretty much just like that!
6. I can't believe somebody just sold a Sansamp for £100 and yours is still sitting here for £85!
7. Or a metal grill with cloth covering, best of both worlds. Alex, how come the speakers aren't dead centre?
8. I can put you in touch with the guy who took the photos of my friend's band Pushboxer if you like: http://www.pushboxer.com
9. I put em on my Dark Starred SG, and then on my P Bass. They feel and sound lovely. The expense can be justified because flats last for years!
10. The word 'these' in my previous post is underlined which means it's a link, so click it and find out!
11. Digitech Bad Monkey! You can get em for £25 new if you look around, and cop an old skool bass grunt nicely.
12. Bass BB -> VT Bass is my core sound, if I had to pick a 3rd it would depend on the genre, either an MXR Carbon Copy for post-rock or the Option 5 Destination Rotation Single rotating leslie speaker sim for blues / classic rock, or a Supercollider fuzz for heavy stuff!
13. But then again, that body is routed for the Darkstars so might be hard to shift without the pickups. I'm not desparate for cash just yet so am happy for it to sit here for a while rather than put it on eBay!
14. Why not just buy one of these?
15. That's a lovely bass also, but alas I'm not up for trading - I'd suck at unlined fretless!

SX Basses

Those unbranded ones look pretty good actually, especially the butterscotch P!
17. I use the big triangle blue Dunlop Tortex. A small guitar pick feels wrong to me on bass, if you haven't tried a big triangle then do it now!

SX Basses

Jim Deacon basses are the same as SX: http://www.google.co.uk/products?hl=en&q=jim+deacon+bass You can get the '62 Precision for £109 delivered from Hartnoll Guitars! I think the Jim Deacon FPB2 is the same as the SX FPB62 and has the 20 fret neck, while the BG models are the supposedly shoddier ones with a 21 fret neck.

9v plugs

Careful, not all pedals have polarity protection, you could fry something! Most pedals have a negative center which is the opposite to most household AC adaptors for cameras etc.
20. This guy's gonna wish he never put his mobile number up there!
21. The song I've had the most fun playing after learning by ear is Dimension by Wolfmother! Give it a go...
22. If this makes it down to the London / Surrey area, I'd love to try one out to see if has enough top end for me. I like to use a lot of fuzz! I have no room for it in my house though, so rather than go on the official list, I would love to come and test one out if someone nearby gets their hands on it.
23. I use this handy back-saving equation: Markbass + Sansamp = Mansamp
24. It's on the heavy side, I haven't weighed it (don't have any scales) but it's heavier than my Squier P and lighter than my Peavey T-40. Balance is pretty good, no neck dive or anything.
