Bass BB -> VT Bass is my core sound, if I had to pick a 3rd it would depend on the genre, either an MXR Carbon Copy for post-rock or the Option 5 Destination Rotation Single rotating leslie speaker sim for blues / classic rock, or a Supercollider fuzz for heavy stuff!
But then again, that body is routed for the Darkstars so might be hard to shift without the pickups. I'm not desparate for cash just yet so am happy for it to sit here for a while rather than put it on eBay!
Why not just buy one of these?
Jim Deacon basses are the same as SX:

You can get the '62 Precision for £109 delivered from Hartnoll Guitars! I think the Jim Deacon FPB2 is the same as the SX FPB62 and has the 20 fret neck, while the BG models are the supposedly shoddier ones with a 21 fret neck.
Careful, not all pedals have polarity protection, you could fry something! Most pedals have a negative center which is the opposite to most household AC adaptors for cameras etc.
If this makes it down to the London / Surrey area, I'd love to try one out to see if has enough top end for me. I like to use a lot of fuzz!
I have no room for it in my house though, so rather than go on the official list, I would love to come and test one out if someone nearby gets their hands on it.
It's on the heavy side, I haven't weighed it (don't have any scales) but it's heavier than my Squier P and lighter than my Peavey T-40. Balance is pretty good, no neck dive or anything.
It works fine unless you force the switch into the middle position where it's not designed to go and hold it there, then the sound screws up for a while until you turn it off for a few seconds.
I don't think mine is faulty in any way, just a design flaw, as I tried it on a friend's small stone and his did the exact same thing. It's still under warranty so I would have got it fixed rather than scam someone on here with a dodgy pedal if I thought it was broken. Only reason for sale is I've now got an Option 5 Destination Rotation Single that blows this out of the water!
If I max -1 Oct and turn the other knobs all the way off to solo the octave for a keyboard synth sound, it's nowhere near as loud as the regular bypass signal (at least on the one I had). I'd like to be able to turn it up so that the solo octave could be even louder than the normal signal at full crank!
Rather than a P/J, you could get a Musicman Stingray pickup at the bridge position, Fender make a P-Bass special that has one fitted. Best of both worlds!
This pedal is just a couple of months old, has seen delicate bedroom use only and is in mint condition (no Velcro) and so is the box. A great little phaser, no low end loss, true bypass and tiny!
