1. Anyone after a Sansamp BDDI should check out this Behringer clone, it sounds just as good and is cheap as chips!
2. I'd also be interested to know of anyone who can do this kind of work cheaply in London!
3. Now on eBay: eBay - Way Huge Pork Loin Pedal

Also: Electronix Submarine, Xotic RC Boost, Catalinbread Picoso / Super Chili Picoso
5. Found this on Gumtree, asked the buyer and it is indeed still for sale... bargain but I don't really want it. Found some info on Talkbass about one, somebody paid $650 for the same bass. Someone grab this! http://www.gumtree.com/london/14/39891114.html
6. Maybe this? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=51998 He just got a bass trainer, did you sell him yours?
7. I use a Behringer Micromon, cheap and cheerful: http://www.dv247.com/invt/38127/ I have an adaptor lead to take a mini stereo jack to a full size one so I can plug in my iPod. Then I either run from the XLR out on my Markbass amp or use my Radial JDI to connect to the mic input. Sound quality is pretty good, probably not as good as the boutique Cafe Walter Headphone Amp, but they cost quite a bit and you have to import them. If you already have an amp with an XLR out or some kind of DI box, this is by far your cheapest option! It's also really tiny, like the small MXR stomp boxes. Tip - turn the iPod EQ setting to bass reducer so you can reduce the bass in the original song and fill in with your own playing.
8. They're available over here as Jim Deacon basses, exactly the same as SX except for the logo on the headstock! Hartnoll guitars sell the P for £109 delivered.

Try Silent Fly's Red Dragon boost in the for sale section. Should do a clean boost as well as a mildly overdriven boost too!
10. With the flats on, this is an old school monster with plenty of thump. I've now put a set of the same flats on my Precision and I'm now sorted for thumpiness, so I put some fresh rounds on this SG to try. Sounds like an active jazz on steroids, really meaty with the low mids boosted on the on-board EQ, with tons of sizzling top end. Although they look like old mudbuckers, these Darkstars are single coils with a really detailed and natural sound. Although it's a lovely bass, my main player is still the Precision, and this is an expensive bass for me to have lying around as a backup so I'm afraid it must go. May trade for a decent Fender P also!
11. Could be up for that Jazz to muck about on once I sell my SG - I just don't have room for another bass at the moment! I could get to Chessington, but let me know if you're ever coming into SW or central London.
12. If you're after smooth creamy overdrive, I'm selling a Way Huge Pork Loin! If you want high gain distortion I'd look elsewhere though. Tech21 XXL, Boss HM-2 and Ashdown James Lomenzo are good options.
13. Markbass LMII is a good option, add a VT Bass pedal and you will get the authentic cranked Ampeg punk sound not problem. Or how about the Mesa Walkabout?
14. Yeah definitely chase them up, if they're trying to decide between you and someone else they might go with the one that seems the most keen!
15. Any package coming through marked as being worth $25 or less should escape customs charges. They should sort you out, that's why I try and order from them when possible
16. Yup, bought a couple of pedals from Tonefactor, arrived in a week or less and no customs charges.
17. Now definitely up for sale again. If you want yourself a smooth transparent overdrive this is the dog's danglies - save yourself £20 on what is effectively a brand new pedal!
18. Try the Status half-rounds, they're growlier than flats but just as smooth. I like a woody tone to my fretless, I gasp when people go and epoxy over a lovely wooden board!
19. It does look cool. Makes me want to keep it and get an AMT Communist Pig pedal to put next to it!
20. What did this start life out as, a Squier?
21. I think maybe he meant are the string lengths cut for 4-in-a-row posts (e.g Fender) or 2-a-side.
22.
LM11 + 1212L = Great combo. Sod those big cabs. Am gassing for a VT pedal now though
Just get one - Fender P or J + VT Bass + Markbass rig sounds awesome!
23. You could also plug it into the fx return to bypass the amp's preamp and use it as a power amp.
