These pedals are the bastard lovechild between Ashdown and Tonka.

Actually that synth is pretty cheap compared to the Chunk OS.

I was offering to swap this for a Carbon Copy, but I just caved in and ordered one so this is now for sale. This is one of the coolest delay pedals on the planet. It's very versatile, it has presets and you can get chorus/flanger/reverb sounds from it. It also does 30 seconds of looping with unlimited layering, and using the loop pitch shifting and reverse functions, you can make crazy noises that sound like monkeys having sex with whales in a spaceship in Bootsy Collins' back garden. It's in mint condition, comes with the original box and power supply, and has cleanly applied industrial Velcro on the bottom that I can remove and replace with rubber feet upon request. Get the best - either a Pedaltrain Mini/Junior/2/Pro with hard case, and also check out the EBS solid pedal connectors, a great space saving altenative to patch cables.

I recommend the GGG tuned version as it doesn't suffer from the typical muff mid scoop and it has more gain/fuzz on tap than usual. It's basically the same as the Sanford & Sonny Bluebeard fuzz that has a review over at bassfuzz.com. I intend to build a prototype on a breadboard and mod it further by adding a mid control, feedback loop, etc before building a pedal for real.
-
Check out the General Guitar Gadgets tuned muff if you can solder... Or a pre-built one in the form of the Fuzzrocious Green Stache. It's meant to be a very-ultra-high-gain-mid-heavy-balls-to-the-wall version of the Big Muff sound and I'm gonna make myself one soon! Also if you liked the Neo, check out it's more brutal brother, the GI Fuzz.

Maybe he meant the attack rate. Some filters can be set for a slow attack so that they go 'woooooomp!' rather than 'womp!'.

I know the one that Toasted built was based on a circuit designed by Jack Orman, so searching for his name would be a good place to start! I think it uses a transformer in there somewhere.
-
As others have said, VT Bass... or the DHA VT1.
-
And because of their size/shape I'm not interested... I'm all about teeny pedals on a Pedaltrain Jr wherever possible! Except for the synth which could turn out to be a sleeping Octavius Squeezer/Deep Impact/G5 killer...

Some more new Orange equipment - 8x10, Terror bass cabs
dannybuoy replied to bennifer's topic in Amps and Cabs
Wow, not seen an 'isobaric' bass cab before. A 30cm square 2x10 definitely sounds interesting, although I doubt it'll be light! -
Meshuggah - EBS Fafner and a Line6 POD are what he uses apparently

I think the HF has also got a better tweeter than the P, though I'm not sure if that's a factor for you. I think as long as you can carry it and fit it in your car, bigger is better when it comes to bass cabs!
-
The Little Mark Tube has a push/pull mute switch, plusyou can crossfade between solid state and preamps. I want!
-
I've read good reviews of it that say it sounds great, not much deep low end, but generally a similar clean warm sound that Markbass are known for. It will struggle however if you try to crank it in a gig situation; you're fine if you're playing the quiet jazz trio kind of thing, but you'll need an extension cab to get 250W out of it or PA support if playing in a loud rock band. I have a CMD121P which weighs a bit more and is a bit more cumbersome at 13kg, but is still an easy one hand carry compared to most bass amps. It has twice the power of the Minimark so you'll get gig volumes out of it without the extension cab... and you still have the option to add one for big gigs or outdoor stages.

Power supply: http://www.johnnyshredfreak.com/store/inde...73ea31e76b28f25 Daisy chain: http://www.johnnyshredfreak.com/store/inde...465d3a2945bb171 Right angled daisy chain (more £ but saves space): http://www.ekmpowershop8.com/ekmps/shops/m...-chain-39-p.asp The DHA will run at 9v but will sound better at 12v. Diago can custom make you a 9-12v adaptor to run on the daisy chain, and I know of someone who has done this successfully with the above power supply and a DHA pedal (he's on here, can't remember who exactly!). That Johnnyshreadfreak supply gives 1500mA which doesn't leave room for too many other pedals once you've put the DHA on there. Most ODs/fuzzes etc don't use much current, it's the digital ones that can eat over 200mA and of course tube pedals. The Diago unit supplies 3000mA but is more expensive, then there's the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power which is megabucks!

I recommend this one: http://www.johnnyshredfreak.com/store/inde...13d71224314645e But it's 9v only. I have a Diago 18v adaptor coming off the daisy chain to power one of my pedals too. The new XO White finger is 40v (yes that's right there's a newer smaller one, in case you ordered the old one!), not sure what the old one takes, but it probably comes with a power supply of it's own.

There's also the Peterson G2M audio to MIDI converter that doesn't require a special pickup. It doesn't track low notes well though, but you can always play high up and downtune the synth if you need to!
