  1. Looks like an Ibanez Iceman and a Gibson RD Artist had a baby!
  2. On hold pending collection!
  3. New wardrobe GAS?
  4. I still stand by my trusty B3K though! Moving on the amp was a simple matter of no longer being in a band and it being surplus to requirements. From playing with the B3K along with a full mix, I've found that contrary to what we keep hearing about the evils of mid-scoops, a mid-scoop really works as long as you boost and distort the living bejesus out of your upper mids. I have high hopes for the dUg pedal anyway, might have to do a little in-the-mix clip of Doug vs dUg!
  5. Doug vs dUg! He was banging on like it was a big conspiracy, the huge Darkglass corporation trying to control your mind and make you buy their pedals. Probably a flat-earther.
  6. ^ 'chocolate starfish' - nice one, profanity filter!
  7. LOL that dude really has a bee up his chocolate starfish about the B7K Ultra he bought, then posted an epic thread + video rant about how bad Darkglass are, because they obviously have no clue since they don't use a crossover like the dUg pedal, because that is the ONLY way to get hard rock bass tone of course.
  8. I have a 2nd gen 2i2 I bought from here recently. I only used it to give Helix Native a trial run and now I don't have much use for it, I can plug in my PJB Bighead if I ever want to record any clips. I was going to list it for sale here soon at the same price I paid, so PM me if interested! @Sibob - I registered the unit on the Focusrite site to get hold of all the software that comes with it (which I never got around to installing) - would there be any issues with a new owner registering the same serial?
  9. Did you compare it with a BB735A at all?
  10. Looks like it could do with either black hardware or some gold pickup covers!
  11. I've got a 2i2 and Windows 10, it was a piece of cake to set up. No clipping issues either unless of course you set the gain too high which is to be expected!
  12. If you can't find it make sure the software is up to date, as the older legacy effects were only added earlier this year!
  13. If you want an approximation to the OC-2, isn't the legacy Bass Octaver closer than the Simple Pitch? That's what I remember from my trial I ran anyhow, seemed a pretty decent emulation of an EBS Octabass, so much fatter sounding than a digital pitch shifter.
  14. Unless you're pushing the cabs to their limits?
  15. I found this discussion relevant to this thread (from 29:04):
  16. There are also USB to 9V adaptor cables for a couple of quid on eBay that you can pair up with any old USB power bank you might already own to make a poor man's Pedaltrain Volto!
  17. You could try a non-permanent version of a battery clip to barrel jack adapter, battery secured to the unit via a cable tie? Or an external battery box... https://www.amazon.co.uk/PP3-Enclosed-Battery-Holder-Switch/dp/B00UNH65H2
  18. I just listened to that very last vid through my hifi speakers + sub.
  19. Or you could just get a Truetone supply which is more flexible with mA ratings. BTW just seen an interesting OC-2 patch posted on TB, using the Pitch Ring Mod rather than the octaver - somebody give it a go and report back? Shape 0.0 DutyCyc 50% Octave -1 Pitch 0.00 Low Cut Off Hi Cut 500Hz Mix 100% FM Amnt 0.0
  20. I wonder if it takes phantom power like the Sansamp?
  21. Back up for sale, shipping now an option!
  22. I've never heard of The Goldbergs!
  23. It all seems to be original, yes. The tone knob has a center detent, middle position seems like a regular P, then you can dial in extra brightness from there. All (somehow!) done passively with no battery involved!
