Going to give it a run this weekend. Its so portable its crazy for an old school 6x10. It wheels around like a small box and can be lifted upstairs no problem.

Fantastic condition Yamaha BB424 in black. Ok. This is probably a slightly different sale to normal, but hopefully its in the basschat spirit and helps someone out. I bought this bass hardly used a few months ago. It was an absolute bargain at £100. It cost me £50 in fuel to pick up. Since then i have put a new set of daddrio strings on, had it professionally set up so it plays fantastic. I had the string retainer slightly repositioned after it sprung out. It now works great. So, being well over £250 into it, id like to sell it im the spirit i bought it, and let it go for £150 (what it cost me to buy and pick up) I could get much more, maybe even double, but i dont think thats right. The condition of sale is that if you ever sell it on then please sell in the same spirit and help someone else own a great instrument for an affordable price. This is a great chance to own a great imstrument for next to no money. It did its job for me. And i love it. Sounds amazing. But at the moment i just play p basses so i want this to go to a good home. Please do not buy this to flip it for an instant profit. Thats not what this sale is about. Pick up Leyland, Lancashire.

Where i accept that certain venues may have awkward spots for sound etc - i think in that case then they shouldnt sell tickets for that area. Especially if their excuse is theres nothing they can do do get it to sound good. I mean, flippin eck, we are all gutted if its a slightly poor sound for a song whilst we are playing in a pub consisting of about 30 people all getting in for free! Its time these touring shows got their acts together if theyre to continue charging so much. Can you imagine poor sound being accepted in the likes of stage shows or opera?! Not a chance.

Cheers Lozz, i think these cabs have an adjustable tweeter for the high end.

Up for sale is my favourite bass of all time. Best looking, best playing and best sounding. Absolutely love it. Its in excellent condition and has had the jack socket professionally upgraded. Lovely thin smooth neck and nice and light. The p/j configuration gives you any sound you like from flat 60s sounds, 70s funk and modern hifi and bright slap sounds. Only reason for sale is im now in a tribute band which i have to use precisions instead so i no longer play this and i have no room to store. These are now discontinued, rare and i think a future collectors bass. Pick up Leyland Lancashire.

Yes, but the price is just way too high for another super compact im afraid.

Hi all, Just wondered if anyaone has ever used or regularly uses a 610? Im currently using a super compact, so just wondered what differences there would be? Would it be massively louder? Tighter? Bigger sound etc? We put everything through the pa but are starting to do bigger gigs etc and a bit more would be nice. In particular im looking at a markbass sealed 610 classic. Any help appreciated.

It seems theres a few issues on the internet regarding these amps and running pre amps with them. Its as if whatever signal you give it, it just deliberately cuts it right back.
-
Ive had it at both - 1.4v and 0.7v - neither made any difference. The preamp even had a +60db gain plus a +10db output and it didnt even register. (apart from the signal switch). Dont get me wrong, it seemed loud in the house and the quality was great, but ive done 2 smallish gigs with it and ive been maxing the volume and ot was just about ok. Which obviously isnt good enough.
-
In fact .... Scrap that idea. Ive had enough of messing around. The amp and pre amp are goung back today. Couldnt get anywhere near -20db even with everything maxing. Back to my trusty one box loud markbass evo.
-
Ahaaa.... If im using the amp in bridged mode do i need a modified speakon lead?
-
Hmmmm, im not sold on this idea yet Now youre likely putting your bass sound into a 12" top and 15/18" bass pa set up. And subs are definitely going to be tuned specifically for bass.
-
Yes, but your speaker is only for you to listen to. The signal now coming out of the pa is: Amp Modeller - speaker emulation - through real speakers of your pa. So its coloured speaker wise twice. ..... i think?! (starting to confuse myself now!)
-
Are people in danger of getting a bit mixed up here? For modelling purposes etc isnt it the actual amp that adds most of the colour? So its that you want to keep unvoiced as possible, as its that that goes to the desk and speaker of your choice etc. The physical speaker set up to me anyway is less of a concern, especially when thats just for backline or monotoring. If now gone 'hybrid' and pre amp into power amp into barefaced. That way whenever i choose to change preamps etc i get an accurate representation to the desk and my cab of choice. Its also massively expandable with adding or changing to different cabs, and the whole set up is very light. 1000w rms amp is only 4kg. Cab is 10kg. I can even take the di out of a less powered bass amp and put that through the power amp if needed. For monsterous tone.
