  1. Fliippin eck! I paid 300 second hand just a few months ago. That's a cracking deal.
  2. No problem. Glad you're sorted. That headphone button has caught nearly everyone out who owns one at one time or another, me included
  3. It's not the old headphones switch/bufton on the back is it? Just check your headphone button isn't pressed in.
  4. Imo the p bass sound when people refer to it is a really really raw sound slightly rough and distorted too, but sits lovely and warm in the mix. It's not necessarily the standard sound you'd get just from plugging any p bass in.
  5. Hohner b2a or b2b. They look like a steinberger and have some licence part/design from them. I had one was surprised how good it was.
  6. These are fantastic!! I now use this as my main bass in the party band. They're SO good!
  7. Ah sorry, I was thinking of the amp head, not the pedal.
  8. My aux in is fine? There's a volume dial next to it from memory?
  9. Yes, I think too many people think these are magic cabs that are blisteringly loud and far better than anything else out there. I believed the hype. I know a lot of users love them but for me they were just a decent cab with decent volume. I really wasn't overly impressed. Like anything though, everyone's experience and needs are different.
  10. I played the hb mm84a at practice last night over 2 sets. It's very very good. Can't believe it to be honest. Def up there with anything I've had sound wise I'd say (which is crazy). Sits quite well round the neck and easy to reach the fretboard. All 5 positions worked well in a different way. The best for our band was bridge humbucker. Real nice, warm and defined. It is heavy though.
  11. The Harley benton I have does the same. All great sounds but 2 and 4 are noticeably a lot quieter.
  12. Its a fantastic bass. If you get sorted let me know. Thanks
  13. I do love the look of them bongos. They suffer from rickenbackeritis though, where they never come down in price!
  14. Id love one of the fuschia one of those!!
  15. I'm probably the anomoly but I had x2 barefaced 210s which I thought would be everything I needed, but they really didn't work for me at all. The ashdown 410 that replaced it was far superior to my in ears (subjective I know). The mark bass travellers were great in a vertical 210 set up. And prob half the price. I currently use a vertical 410 from Laney. Love it. They're prob 600 new now, but they are so easy to move around. They wheels and top handle make it feel very very light to move around. There's also side handles too if needed. Plenty of 210 cabs out there though if you wanted a cheaper set up. Only thing I'd recommend is get 2 of the same.
  16. Hi all, I've recently bought a very cheap second hand Harley benton mm84a which is a double humbucker active bass. 5 way selector switch. Weird thing - I absolutely love it!! So much so I'm thinking of using it full time for one of my bands. But just for info - does anyone else use or has anyone else used a double humbucker bass? What ones did/do you use? I had a USA cali l2000 over covid but it just didn't do anything for me in a band situation. Yet the Harley benton does? Weird. Any views on other double humber basses appreciated. I love mine as its like having 5 basses in one. From thinner harsher sounds to full fat sounds.
  17. I love my Laney Digbeth. Headphonesaux in 500w 2 channel Lightweight Great amp.
  18. I've had a V6 and a ctm300. In all honesty and it breaks me to say it, both were just too inflexible for the band I was in. Both got lost in the mix and didn't have the mid drive to find their way out. I wish I'd had more time with them to play around further. If I had a choice I'd say the V6 was nicer as it was a lot lighter (prob half the weight) and smoother. What was weird though is I had to push both of them very hard volume wise. Completely personal choice though.
  19. Hi, I'm not sure of weight. I'd guess around 8.5 as its not too heavy but not a lightweight.
  20. Ahhh, it breaks me to do this, but needs must.... For sale my immaculate Fender FSR (Fender special run) Precision bass in Electron Green! Reportedly only 200 made. These are fantastic basses. Not too heavy for a P bass and easy to play. They sound and record great. The colour is amazing. It should be awful, but it's not. It's lovely. It brings a bit of joy when you look at it. The list price is the lowest I will accept. It represents great value especially with the rare colour and condition. Does not come with case pictured. Collection Leyland Lancashire.
  21. Excellent piece of kit for wireless monitoring. Xvive U4. Consists of transmitter and receiver. Also this is charged by USB so no need to worry about traditional batteries. Hardly used to be fair. Great condition. Only slight blemish is the side of the transmitter with U4 written on and that's only because I had a piece of velcro on and I removed it for this sale. Please see photos. Comes boxed with all instructions and paperwork as well as carry bag and charging cable. Pick up Leyland or can post for £10.
  22. OK so a decent practice tonight to test. Firstly, this cab is SO easy to move around. Much much easier than I thought. It's the correct height when using the top handle, so you don't have to stoop (I'm 6"2) it also feels very light when wheeling. The wheels are quality and theres a kick plate to tilt so you don't ruin your cab. Clever. It also has side handles at the perfect position so the cab doesn't feel heavy, or as heavy as its claimed 30kg when you have to lift that way. Sound wise.... Lovely. As I said previous my precision sounded like a raw precision into a recording desk with the Digbeth head pretty much flat. In truth I didn't move much from that setting and it just complemented the whole band very nicely. Warm and punchy. Lock in with the cymbals and it's a tremendous sound. That raw precision sound fits so nicely into any band mix. It probably sounds too raw on its own, but as we know in the mix it sits perfectly. The more we played it just carried on doing a superb job. Lovely and warm in the mix. Punch where needed and a nice fat warmth when not. I really didn't have to do any eqing to get a great sound. Oh, and volume not a problem at all! The amp head height was great, load in and out very easy and it looked the part. It would fool many into thinking it was a 'proper' full stack by both looks and sound. I'm 100% sure this cab can deliver any sound. It's just ironic that I found mine straight away. It also handled synth bass very well. Of course there's always a honeymoon period with any new gear, but this meets all my criteria to the point I genuinely can't think of a better all round cab for any money. Lovely sound. Great range. Adjustable tweeter. Easy to transport. No stooping to move around. Great height if I need to put anything on top of my amp. Real loud. Looks cool. 4 ohm. Looks like a 'proper' rig. Built to last. Very very happy.
