  1. Hi all, Does anyone have any ideas of a decent appregiator pedal for bass? Thanks.
  2. I've seen a YouTube vid saying the Z3 has a trim pot on its preamp to bolster or tame it.
  3. It's much better than a pointless valve in the preamp, like a lot of amps have. It's a full on valve emulator. Sounds fa tastic.
  4. Its just the fact people have got used to class d and lightweight cabs. They'd be better thinking of it as heavier - but only one trip and one plug. Buy a little folding truck for £20 if needed. It's not so much the weight, more the awkward lift. The handle on top means it's a dead lift with one hand and it's against the side of your leg type of lift.
  5. Take the feet off the elf and put taller ones on. Allows air too circulate underneath, runs much cooler. Cost about £2.
  6. Have you ever tried no amp? Just a pedal direct to PA? It sounds crazy, but it's much easier and better than you think. You get all the bass goodness through the PA and can hear everyone else better without your bass masking them. Even better if all your band can do it. If not, the lightest combos I found were the new ashdown studios.
  7. Boss katana 210 combo. Absolutely fantastic amp. Class A/B. Heft. Easy to use on the fly. Pretty much all the boss pedals you'll ever need inside it. PC options for sound creation and storage of sounds. 6 presets on its own. Unlimited when attached to a tablet or pc. It takes a while and a bit of luck but once you get the sounds and work it out, you really can't beat it. And it's loud. Proper loud. I play in loud bands and haven't had it above half way yet. I'm astounded these haven't caught on more. There was an as new one on here a it back for around £250!!!
  8. The stacked knobs on the P7 were bad too. Cheap plastic, but kept sticking to each other. Ie turn the bottom one and you end up inadvertently turning the top one. I'm sure though (probably on here) people posted replacement solutions - cheap aftermarket knobs. I love sire as a brand. Best value out there bar none. I'm surprised they've not addressed the stacked knob issue though. Anywho, they look great basses. Enjoy.
  9. I'm in Preston and would have this off you in a heartbeat if I wasn't 3 hours away. Unless there's scope to meet half way etc? Fully understand if not.
  10. They're great. The mid selector makes a big difference to any drive sounds too. And it's so easy to get a good sound even just running it flat and with the tilt dial.
  11. Unfortunately I don't know the age for sure. It is so well built though. I'd honestly say up there with the best precisions I've had. And the hardware is all upgraded. So it's a quality instrument.
  12. It's bad everywhere. We have a lot of business items that would have previous flown out after a day or two at around a grand, and no ones interested after months at £300. Worrying times.
  13. Hi all, I have my precision bass for sale. With lots of fantastic extras and mods fitted. Firstly, a lovely bass in its own right. Build quality is superb. Balances nice and is really nice to play. Action is nice and low and every string sings. Its been modded to a very high spec. Gold adonised scratch plate for that perfect 50s look. Badass bass ii bridge rrp £120. Really helps this sing and sustain. Seymour Duncan custom pickups (rrp £120). New pots and wiring. Steve Harris rotosound flatwound strings. Rrp £60. In fantastic condition - really nice. Pick up Leyland Lancashire
  14. Just remembered too - for balance actual oasis where £30 a ticket around 2001 when I watched them.
  15. They havent arrived yet though..
  16. Mind you ive just been looking at some old tickets.... Police circa 2005 - £65. Rolling Stones circa 2008 - £90.
  17. It's the way they are doing it here. They were allegedly due today, but thomann in 3 weeks? Nah, I really can't see that. Then, crazily, they've pushed the date back to tomorrow? They did this a couple of years ago with a ninja amp I was after. Its a bit 'boy who cried wolf' to the point no one will believe them eventually.
  18. Call me synical but....... Advertise something you haven't got.... Take pre orders..... Take payment..... Send orders to manufacturer..... Manufacturer makes that order so as not to produce too many.... Then, and only then, deliver said order. Thus immediately selling out once received.
  19. At least 2-3 week wait at thomann. I'd be putting my money on that being more accurate. I'm sure the shipping container didn't just get delayed today en route to store. More likely from Indonesia to the warehouses.
  20. Yeh, not good practice at all by Andertons. If thomann haven't got them, there's no way they will. I'm sure thomann say a good few weeks yet too.

    Kemper

Boss katana 210. One box. Has everything in there. Including pedals and presets.
  22. Ticket face value - £150. In demand price - £500. Temporary drop - £300. People will snap up the £300 ones thinking they have a bargain.... erm no, you've paid twice the original price. Not a bargain at all.
