  1. Yes, I'll sort them for you now. It's in great condition.
  2. Did a full practice with the above set up tonight. Bye bye amp! Absolutely no need for an amp and cab anymore. We went through the supplied pa at practice (albeit a good pa) and the pedal sounded fantastic. I just set it to the mld amp and trace 4x10 cab and it did everything so well. Nice and warm. Receptive to eq changes. In all honesty I did last weeks practice (everything else the same) DI'd through the ashdown evo iv and this week it sounded just as good if not better to be fair - and that without trying any of the other amps and cabs available. The sound quality of the pedal is as good as I've heard anywhere and I've had more than my fair share of amps, pedals and and rigs over the years. With so much routing available on it - xlr di out pre or post and with or without a cab sim, an unaffected jack through, and a jack output with switchable cab sim - this pedal is prepared for anything. The drive function worked well to add some grit and volume if needed for solos. It's a keeper and now will be my main sound no matter what's required. Just need to secure it all properly now onto a board and I'm sorted.
  3. Just put this together for tonight's practice. Not had time to fully sort, but its: 1. Boss wl50 wireless transmitter. 2. Nux MLD preamp, di and amp and cab modeller. 3. Pedal train space saving tuner. 4. Xvive wireless transmitter for in ears. We'll see how it goes tonight!
  4. I've just bought a nux mld sounds great so far. 3 amp models, 6 cab models (all adjustable), mid range and frequency selector and a complete IR loader for your own IRs or eqs. Gonna give it a blast at practice this week.
  5. Apologies, it's similar to the previous post, it's just the holding the buttons down when taking the psu in and out that I struggled with... I just assumed you turned it on.
  6. Ok everyone, I've bought one of these today, pulled (what's left of) my hair out, but eventually solved this. To get the pedal and pc to sync and work properly try the following. 1. Go to nux site. 2. Download the editor software for the mld. 3. Download the preamp software for mld. 4. Go to bottom of page and install the asio driver. 5. Install the asio. Restart pc. 6. Install editor software. Restart pc. 7. Install preamp software. Restart pc. 8. Connect usb cable to pedal and pc. 9. Connect 9v power to pedal. 10. Open the update software. Now heres the trick..... 11. When the update software has popped up and it says 'device not recognised or no device connected'.... a) press both footswitches down and keep the held down. b) keep holding the footswitches down and unplug the 9v psu. Keep the footswitches pressed down. c) after a few seconds with the footswitches still held down, plug the 9v psu back in. d) you will now get both green and red lights flashing. Let go of the footswitches. 12. You'll now see on the updater software that the device is recognised. Click select file. Find the 4.0 bin file and press select. 13. Press update. This will now work and update the firmware. It's the instructions above 11 to 13 that are the key. Once its updated shut down your pc and unplug all connection and psu. Restart the pc, reconnect all cables and psu and start the software editor, give it a while to recognise. Hopefully this helps.
  7. Just thinking this morning..... dont know why couldnt you raise all the eq which would in turn raise the overall volume. You could use that to balance inbetween notches without affecting input or sound. Just an idea if it helps.
  8. I get what you're saying. I've had loads of ashdown amps including several abm iv s but it's never been an issue. If it was I would just turn my volume down (or up) slightly on the bass if needed. I suppose if ashdown do a mod though its all good for everyone.
  9. It's not to keep them exactly the same, more to avoid the dials moving to ridiculous positions in transit - me forgetting to check and a ridiculously loud awful sound coming out. ie everything ending up dimmed to full. I pretty much want the same core sound every gig then very slight tweaks if needed. Regarding notched dials on volume, just turn your bass or amp input down if theres any problem.
  10. No, I prefer those too. More chance of eq etc staying in position from gig to gig.
  11. I can see where the OP is coming from. Regular working rig, make it easier for yourself, you'll enjoy it more. Regularly lugging heavy awkward kit can quickly demoralised you. First gig for a while, take the big rig and really enjoy it. Seems sensible to me.
  12. Only writing this so I dont forget..... I was down the youtube rabbit hole last night and saw an interview with michael league of snarky puppy. Not my thing by any means, so I dont know why I was watching it, but he was running through his pedal board. He has an octave and an oc3, but also let on about a trick hed learned how to get an octave sound without a pedal. Basically for example, take a G. Fret it at the 3 fret on the e string, but pluck at/over the 15th fret (another g) rather than were youd normally pluck, and you'll get an octave sound. Havent had chance to try it, but he was convinced it works.
  13. Evo iv is so much better than previous ones (just my opinion). Its cleaner, punchier and more adaptable to different sounds required.
  14. It's probably just to stop the endless faff the venue might get. (Swap this here, swap that there, put this into that...... let's be honest - all guitarist issues....). Just ask them what kit is supplied. Unless it's terrible just go with it. You can always plug pedal boards into their amps etc in so shouldnt be any issues. If it's done properly the sound guy will be used to the equipment and get a good sound for you.
  15. Easy for me at the moment. I'm down to just one.
  16. These are great cabs. Loud, Light and grea sounding. Lightweight - 21kg! Powerful and compact. Very nice sounding and has a 3 switch horn. Very good condition. Just not needed as my bands are now going ampless. Collection Leyland Lancashire.
  17. Love this amp. I'd probably put it as the best amp I've had. However I'm now in 3 bands and theyve all decided to go ampless. So I've no hope of playing this in any of them. Its renowned for its core tone. Really nice. Quite bright to start, which I like, but that can be dialled out if you like. It also has the quality ebs compressor which works beautifully. It has a great DI and a speaker sim if you like a cab sound direct. The comprehensive eq allows any sound to be created and the semi parametric dial is superb. Lastly its light for what it is. It's not a heavy amp. Very hard to come by nowadays. The new hd802 is over £2000+ The amp is in very good condition and has been protected by the original ebs case with a spare 1u rack space for a tuner or spare amp. The case is in ok condition, some carpet bubble etc but that's what it is for. I've had so many amps over the years, I'd say for an all round amp considering weight, tone, versatility and reliability then this is the best. I'm also selling an ashdown rm410 cab which works great with this. That only weighs 21kg! Combine both for a stunning rig. Collection Leyland Lancashire.
  18. If you like the set up of the traveller, you could get the ninja combo. Essentially a traveller sized package, vertical, and a powerful built in head with everything you need. Extremely loud and a one hand lift.
  19. I'm really struggling to understand the way bass manufacturers are going now with all this frfr and now powered cabs built for pre amps - arent they just selling active PA speakers or am I missing something?
  20. This happened to me, but with a delivery for my neighbours that I knew nothing about. They were convinced the driver delivered it to my house as he put it on a card that he had. They checked their CCTV and it showed him going up my drive to my front door, but he disappeared from view due to the angle of the camera as he got closer to the door. There was no knock and no parcel left. So I've no idea what he did. However, the neighbour was convinced he delivered it to me (definitely didnt) and we now dont speak. Ive made it clear to them in future if anyone (genuinely) knocks on my door with a parcel for them I will tell them to fook off, so they know where they stand. It's bad enough if you dont have a parcel you've ordered delivered, but to be accused of taking a parcel you knew nothing about is even worse! Hope you manage to get sorted.
  21. Theyll soon change their attitude when they realise if they do nothing theyll soon lose both the item and the money you paid them. Then theyll have to do something.
