  1. Just been tidying the house and found some case candy that I must have taken out of a bass purchase when I bought it. Might be of use to someone? £25 delivered.
  2. How did you like it?
  3. Thanks. What cabs would you recommend with the ebs?
  4. Cheers I'll have a look at vanderkley if I get chance.
  5. I got one of the 500 mk1 in the sale a few years ago. Really good amp, good sound. Only downside was a terrible DI out which made it unusable for our gigs. So be careful to check that as well.
  6. I've even found the original box.
  7. Open to offers, but no trades. I can speak highly enough of how light, loud and full this combo is. One hand lift into a venue and you wont be short of volume.
  8. Yeh, needed the money and to be fair I'd gone mad buying amps so probably a good thing!
  9. Yep, that 802 looks magic!
  10. I think mine sold in great condition for about £150. It was ridiculously difficult to sell.
  11. Haha, it's true! Absolutely no middle ground either for some reason.
  12. I had one of those. It was so good. I took it for a service to a guy who used to be one of ampeg top guys and he couldnt believe how nice it sounded.
  13. Itd be interesting, I always found the stock valve didnt do enough for me. Other people love them, but for me it just didnt do enough. The valve drive in the di pedal however really does change the sound.
  14. I've always kind of wanted to do things different when it comes to gear. So EBS appeal to me. Problem is though, they are hardly anywhere to test. Too expensive to take a chance on new and resale at the moment is pure chance. I was interested in an amp that would mean I didnt need pedals, so I wanted a good clean sound, the ability to do growl / break up and a compressor. Tuner if possible, and comprehensive eq. As luck has it one came up locally so after a bit of debate and putting in a bid I managed to get it. Bought blind with no test or playing through first. I've tested it with my markbass traveller at it sounds SO rich!! Real old skool 'tone' for days. The sweepable mids are really fantastic. It's so easy to dial in a great tone just with those. Boost the mids slightly then turn the eq dial until you get what you want. Lovely. The bass is rich. Not sterile like some newer amps can be, but really room filling warmth. The 'treble' is actually a higher mids and treble control combined which is perfect, and adding just a smidge gets you that clank if required, and taking off a bit smooths everything. The character sound is deep and warm - not tried in a band situation yet, but isolated it sounds superb. Theres also a drive dial which goes from solid state sound to a very convincing valve amp style. Again very nice and musical. It also keeps the lower bass frequencies unaffected so you keep definition. The compressor is good and just evens out the strings when needed. Exactly what I want from a compressor. The DI sounds good and also has an optional speaker sim that can be switched on or off to add a cab sound when sending to the desk. Build quality is very solid, and its lightweight for such heft, about 9kg, not much more than a class d svt7. Very, very impressed. Just need some cabs now. Its runs to 2 ohms, so I'd be looking a cheap 4x10 to start I think. EBS - get yourselves into some shops over here. Your amps are fantastic.
  15. Cheers. I've just picked up a 350 - absolutely love it.
  16. Hi all, Has anyone any experience of these 2 amps? Has anyone any experience of both? If so, which do you prefer? Thanks.
  17. Blackstar bass amplug 2. Just plug into your jack, attach a phone, headphones and you're away. Takes up no space, no need for plugs etc. Easy.
  18. Sell the ampeg, then use the ashdowns. Then get bored off the ashdowns then buy another ampeg. Then get bored of the ampeg, and re buy the ashdown...... and repeat... the amount of times I've had an ashdown rig, sold it, bought it back, sold it, bought another, sold it..... I think I've had 4 ABM 600s already, and it still doesnt compute that I like them better than what I replace them with....
  19. Will take £750 for a quick sale. It wont be around long at this price. Grab a bargain. If something else I am selling sells first, the price will go back up.
  20. Could look at delivery if required.
  21. Reduced to £495 for one day only!
  22. Reduced to £795 for one day only!
  23. I'd say this is the best bass I've ever had. I'm a dyed in the wool precision guy, and I still rate this as the best. I'm sure everyone knows all about these - based on fleas own 61 jazz. The pick ups are the best I've heard and each pickup has it's own tone and volume, so endless tone possibilities. The looks are the best I've seen. Cool and classy and aged to perfection. This has also been professionally set up and the frets dressed and I think even rolled, so it's super smooth to play. I cant say enough good things about this bass. Stunning looks, stunning sound, easy to play and are going up in price so a sound investment. Pick up Leyland Lancashire.
  24. This has now sold. Thanks.
  25. I'm selling this sansamp bddi v2 pedal. Very nice condition. Amazing sounds either direct di or straight into your amp or effects loop. Very flexible and just adds that extra warmth and magic everyone wants. In good condition - I never use my pedals as foot pedals, just as an always on, so it's just lived on top of my amp. For an unbelievable light powerful rig, mix this with my markbass ninja 210 combo for sale in the amp section. 15kg svt anyone?! The bottom has velcro on, which can be removed. Although there is no battery cover from memory, but it's never needed as I put on my board. Comes with tech 21 tin/case and paperwork as shown. Collection from Leyland Lancashire or could look at postage.
