  1. The beauty is you wont be disappointed as its SO versatile. Basically 3 amps in 1, with all kinds of extra eq, drive, compression, deep, presence, etc. I'll see if I can find the weight specs.
  2. Unfortunately a new kitchen (of all things!) forces sale. A true true beast - 400w nexus tube all valve head. This runs as 3 amps - 1. FET solid state only. 2. All valve only. 3. Mixture of the 2. Very unique and adaptable. So many sounds available and quite manageable due to the top handles. Comes with the superb laney nexus 4x10 and 1x15 for an adaptable power house of a rig. Use just the 4x10, just the 1x15 or both! The amp head has 8,4,2 ohm inputs so easy to do. Also comes with a foot switch. In really really good condition. Runs superb. Comes with what i can only describe as well over the top protective covers. Thick, padded, waterproof faux leather. These leave the amp handles free, so easy to transport and fully wrap the cabs. Probably £3000 worth of gear here when new. Just for clarity theres a small piece of velcro on the head, and a small mark (both pictured). Pick up Leyland Lancashire.
  3. Ok, so despite trying to contact the buyer, he hasn't got in touch, replied or anything. Doesnt look like they will. So, if anyone wants this I can honour the price of £745.
  4. Cheers I've been looking for one of those this morning, quite rare at the moment.
  5. It's not so much that I want a relic bass as such - ie any bass with a relic look - it's more that I'd want a relic bass that is also a great bass in it's own right. ie the flea bass is so nice to play and hear and looks naturally relic'd too. Is there a fender p equivalent of that?
  6. I love the flea bass, because its quality and has been done with that in mind, rather than just the relic job. I'd love a precision in the same vein. Also, why did the stacked knob dual tone and volume pots die out? It's a far better idea than the now standard v-v-t.
  7. Hi all, I never, ever, understood relic'd basses. They didnt make any sense to me at all. I didnt like the look, the idea, the price, or anything about them. Then, I bought a second hand (why not if its relic,d?) Flea jazz bass ..... Now, I completely get it!! Absolutely love it! The relic'd look really fits - it doesnt look battered or neglected, more well loved and played to its limits. The playability is superb it just feels quality, substantial but not heavy, and the sounds from the vintage pups are gorgeous. Couple that with the fact I'm happy to leave it out in the house and pick it up and play it without bashing it (because if I did it wouldnt matter) and it's perfect. So, it got me wondering, now I have a relic jazz, maybe I'd like a relic p bass, so what high quality relic'd basses are out there for sale? What prices, and what specs?
  8. Just plug a headphone adaptor jack in the IN where youd normally put your bass lead, and it works as a clean power amp if I remember correctly.
  9. I'm not in at the moment, but another website says this - but best to double check... 20 kg Dimensions - 300 x 240 x 620mm Controls/Panels/Inputs . . . 2 x Inputs (passive / active (-10db) Gain 3 band passive EQ (Bass, Mid (push-pull boost to 500Hz), Treble) Deep and Bright switches Front panel XLR DI (Pre/Post switchable) Master volume FX loop send / return Effects Loop. Line out on rear. 2 or 4 Ohm selectable Be quick though, the auction ends in a couple of hours.
  10. This is on ebay auction now as well. FINISHES THIS AFTERNOON. GRAB A BARGAIN. CURRENTLY AROUND £700. MUST GO!
  11. In immaculate condition. From the recent run of Fender Player Precision bass guitars. Lovely white colour, with an aftermarket tortoise shell scratchplate and upgraded Seymour Duncan sp3 pickups (cost £100) which give this bass such a lovely sound. Pick up only Leyland Lancashire.
  12. If your using send return loops, check the schematics of the amp first. Not all amps bypass the amps preamp. I'm pretty sure markbass dont, and I've used others that dont too and it's frustrating.
  13. Laney were very good when I spoke to them. Sorted the amp query i had and sent me a load of fuses for free in the post.
  14. Absolute classic Ampeg. SVP preamp - the preamp from the loved svt2. Made by SLM in the USA. I think this has 5 pre amp tubes to give that classic tone. Simply connect to a power amp for that classic ampeg bass rig. Contains everything you need: Ultra hi Ultra lo Bright Bass Mid switch 5 Mids High Drive Gain 9 band eq Master Send/return Preamps out. Note: these are notoriously noisy preamps so expect noise hiss etc. Unit has been well used but in great working order. Rare these days. Pick up only Leyland Lancashire.
  15. Gallien Krueger fusion S 800. Super powerful, super lightweight bass amp. 2 channel so you can use in either clean tube mode (3 valves in the preamp) or a more driven, even distorted, sound. It also has 2 voices to choose from for each channel. Also has great features such as drive, presence, contour, deep, edge, cut, overdrive and more. You can genuinely lift with your little finger, and it's very powerful. As a bonus it can run at different ohms down to 2 ohms, so can run various cab combinations. In very good condition, only a few months old. These retail at £1100. Grab a bargain. Pick up Leyland Lancashire.
  16. £895. The best sounding, lightest, loveliest looking all valve amp around. £895.
  17. Thought so. Ashdowns instructions re what happens when buttons are pushed in or out are useless. They differ between abm and rm too.
  18. OPEN TO OFFERS. ONCE ITS GONE, ITS GONE. YOULL NOT GET HOLD OF ANOTHER.
