Yeh, classic case of guitarist covering majority of the eq range. Also if struggling, dont be afraid to knock the bass dial back which will also give a relative extra mid boost. And knock that ashdown shape off.

That is crazy!! Do you think its roadworthy etc? Will it take being lugged about everywhere? Looks fantastic at that weight. -
Great amps! Love my fusion S.

The best valve sound without the valve out section imo is the gallien krueger fusion 550 (the big 3u amp, not the class d ones). Lovely clean sound and growly distorted sound. Big eq section, and easy to carry. It also auto saves your channel settings. Saying that, I had a svt7 and it sounded nothing like an svt to me. Then I got chance this week to play through a pf800 and svt cab, and it sounded wonderful - very ampeg like.

Problem with eq is nearly everyone messes with it before theyve even tried the amp flat, or tried it with the band in the room they're playing. So from a starting point everything is already cut, boosted, adjusted. Best thing to do imo is just run it flat and then make adjustments as you go if its blatantly obvious there needs to be some eq adjustment. Otherwise its creating a problem where there wasnt one.

Hi all, I'm after a synth pedal for the following: 80s tracks - where bass synth was used - ultravox, human league etc. Must be able to have presets etc so I can just flick between the patches. Any extra stuff like built in tuners etc are a bonus but not a necessity. I had a stomp, but the synths didnt really do it for me, but that was 2 years ago, so I'm not sure where they're upto now. Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks.

I have a rm500 15 combo and a rm 210 cab as my mini rig. Mentally loud! I play in loud bands and I cant get the stack past 2 on the volume. Real good sound too. I've just ordered a 210 combo from musikproductiv to pair with the 115 combo at a crazy price.

I am selling this cab, purely because I've no need for it. Exceptional piece of kit. Ultra lightweight with a hell of a sound. The big baby 2 comes with the horn so is truly great at getting any sound you desire! Comes with barefaced custom cover. All as new condition. Pick up Leyland Lancashire. Will not post. Photos to follow.

Hi all, Just picked up a bargain RM500 evo2 combo 15. Sounds great, but what would you pair it with? Another 15 cab? A 2x10 cab? Would the 2x10 fit perfectly underneath etc?

Ashdown should def add a VU meter tuner to their amps.

The DBC ( not the vertical 410) is weighing in at 25kg. That's 12kg less than the vertical one.

Hi, Trace Elliot themselves marketed it as a 400w head. I'm just going off what they marketed it as. Theres lots of discussion online as to how they got the 400w out of it so to speak. As thodrik says though regardless it as big and as loud and powerful as you'll ever need. Oh, and it sounds glorious. -
The weight does seem a big confusing. 7kg for a 500w class d is heavy. But, I suppose it looks like a much bigger amp, and it's not a heavy lift. But it's at least double the weight of its rivals. The vertical 4x10 at 32kg is confusing. I had a laney n410 with lavoce drivers which was superb and only around 23kg. Maybe they're not targeting the lightweight crew - fair enough - but then I dont really get what they're targeting here, unless they sound that identical to a class a/b or valve head and heavy cab that it's a weight saving on a 15kg head and a 65kg cab?
-
I got the answers back from Laney: 1. Is the 500 head a class A/B or class D output stage? "The DB500H uses a Class D output stage". 2. Does the head have a valve tube inside for the preamp or is it emulated? "The pre amp is an emulated tube sound". 3. What is the correct weight of the vertical 4x10? Is it 32kg? "The DBV410 weighs 32.7 Kg".

Selling on Reverb, anyone doing it here

I've listed things. The options are good - free to list, and 5% of total sale if sold - but I havent sold anything yet! -
Still no idea on the true specs of these. I've asked laney via facebook the following: 1. Is the 500 head a class a/b or class d head? (saying solid state doesnt help). 2. Is there a valve in the pre? Everything points to no, then reviews say there is. 3. Is the 4x10 really 32kg?
