My gallien krueger have coloured leds to let you know if theres so called bad power coming into the amp.
A flashing led for mute.
Permanent led for on.
Is there a weight on the vertical 4x10?
Andertons or pmt say 32kg, but laney are brilliant at low weight cabs, so that seems heavy? I've seen errors before though on websites, so just wondering.
I saw this very cab in pmt manchester. Weirdest cab I've ever seen. Couldnt work out if it was a bass cab, a hifi, a powered pa system etc - just one weird - but interesting - looking thing.
Yeh, that's more what I was thinking of - things that make an amp stand out - trace's UV a great example - but are mainly aesthetic. Tuners etc are good because i suppose they can look cool in led form on the amp. Peak lights like on mixers, a big whacking lit up 10 sliders for eq etc etc
Only 2 things I'd take from it:
1. Trust the sound guy/girl. Whether they're good or bad, it will drive you mad if you dont.
2. If you think theyre giving you a poor bass sound, dont take a 40kg svt head. A 2kg class d will do just fine.
Just thinking - what amp gimmicks that dont have any real effect on the sound - actually make you want to buy the amp, or think it's cool?
Along the lines of:
VU meter
Striking leds etc
Ultra violet light
etc
I've a 300w Bugera BVV3000 all valve up for sale at around £350.
Not a lighter weighted 100-200w valve amp, but it's there and hits the SVT tone spot on!
x2 high quality lightweight ABS rack cases.
Superb protection and easy to carry.
Both have pockets in the lid to store cables etc.
