    Yeh, that's more what I was thinking of - things that make an amp stand out - trace's UV a great example - but are mainly aesthetic. Tuners etc are good because i suppose they can look cool in led form on the amp. Peak lights like on mixers, a big whacking lit up 10 sliders for eq etc etc

    I agree. If theres any heft to those (and not just tone) that's a winner!

    I like some gimmicks like the peavey mega which let you choose led colour of the knobs etc

    Only 2 things I'd take from it: 1. Trust the sound guy/girl. Whether they're good or bad, it will drive you mad if you dont. 2. If you think theyre giving you a poor bass sound, dont take a 40kg svt head. A 2kg class d will do just fine.

    Just thinking - what amp gimmicks that dont have any real effect on the sound - actually make you want to buy the amp, or think it's cool? Along the lines of: VU meter Striking leds etc Ultra violet light etc

    I've a 300w Bugera BVV3000 all valve up for sale at around £350. Not a lighter weighted 100-200w valve amp, but it's there and hits the SVT tone spot on!

    Selling my line 6 G90 wireless system. Superb rack system - 1U. 14 channels of high quality 2.4ghz wireless stability. Lots of options, routing, tuner outs, hi and lo battery use, mute etc etc. In good condition, and original box. The transmitter has had use and the paintwork is slightly faded, due only to being put in and out of its holster. I had removed the original clip from the transmitter - didnt want it to ping off mid gig - and replaced with a levys pouch that just slides onto your strap, so I will include that too. It runs on a simple kettle lead / IEC lead (receiver) and batteries (transmitter), which can be bought cheaply anywhere. 2.4 GHz 19" True diversity receiver 12 Switchable frequencies Audio-frequency range 10 - 20,000 Hz Dynamic range 120 dB Range of up to 90 metres (depending on the environment) 1x Jack, 1x XLR amp output, and 1x jack for a tuner 1x TA4F connector on the transmitter Battery life approx. 8 hours LED display for status and battery life Switchable EQ settings for the simulation of different guitar cables Compact and stylish design Incl.     Designated (and expensive) power supply adaptor for Ampeg SCR DI pedal. This is the power supply / adaptor only - not the pedal (for clarity!). Will post for £3.

    I used to get bass headaches when gigging years ago. Like waking up with a real bad hangover. I'm also driven mad by any low end music from other people including neighbours, passing cars, etc to the point of leaving the house. Never used to be. Just came on around 10 years ago.

    I have an almost new Gallien Krueger MB800 for sale in the for sale section. Massively powerful and loud. Only 1U high and around 2kg. 2 channel, so you can have 2 separate sounds. Works great with any cab, 4ohm or 8ohm.

    Gallien Krueger MB800 amp. Superb amp in excellent condition. 1U - brilliant for space saving. 2 channel - have 2 different sounds set up. Foot switch for channel changing. Also comes with the incredibly rare G&K rack ears. These also have 2 holes, perfect for running cables through the ears if struggling for space. Unbelievably light, around 2kg and unbelievably loud. Only ever carried as back up so in excellent condition. Comes in original box, with instructions. Doesnt have a kettle lead, but those can be bought very cheap.
