    Well, I've been after one of these for years. Finally got one a few weeks ago and now out of the blue I've a chance to buy my favourite bass back, so this has to go to fund it as last in first out. Great condition, there is a bit of belt buckle rash on the back that I will photo later. Great sounding, stunning looking bass. Just looking to get back what I paid for it, around £250. Pick up Leyland, Lancashire.

    I agree. Itd be interesting to see how many people really really wanted a big valve amp, bit the bullet after years of wanting one and got one, and now play something else. Me, for one.

    Haha, it's no problem at all. It's a bit of a confusing naming line up for 3 completely different amps!

    Yep, which is why I tried pointing out the fact that despite it having 3 valves it's not classed in common terms as a valve amp. It's worth looking how the gk uses the valves it has though. It's not as simple as just adding a bit of tone, or a novelty in the pre amp.

    I have the fusion S 800 too. Amazing amp. The line up is confusing though - the fusion 500 and 800 are different from the fusion 'S'500 and 'S'800 and both are different from the fusion 550.

    The best I've found is the gallien krueger fusion 550. 3 valve preamp with a solid state power section. 2 channel, loads of tone changing flexibility. Weighs about 12kg I think. Gives that heft, volume and valve drive in spades at 1/3 of the weight. I've had an ashdown ctm300 and the gk absolutely hammers it in terms of volume, tone, weight, heft and flexibility for me personally. Not strictly a valve amp - most people refer to a valve amp as one with a valve driven pre and power section, but youd never know. It's a real valve feel and breaks up the harder you dig in. It's also not a nightmare to move around and you wont be risking a knackered back.

    Yes, it's an odd one.... Some people look for these in "amps" and dont even think of looking in "pedals", some people do the opposite. So, hopefully if someone like that is looking, theyll find what they're after.

    The best DI out there imo. The Ampeg SCR DI pedal. Superb quality DI. Classic ampeg sounds. Great eq and separate drive section for classic ampeg grind. Also superb in that it can accept input from phones, mp3 players etc when using headphones, so is a fantastic practice tool too! Velcro added to bottom if required. Never gigged only used for home practice. These are around £215 new, so grab a bargain.

    Pro quality DI box from Ashdown, for those classics Ashdown ABM sounds. Beautifully built, built like a tank. Real valve in the pedal giving that lovely valve warmth. Same pre amp as the high end ABMs. Lots of ins and outs. Boxed. Never used. Only for indoor practice. These are £370 new. Grab a bargain.

    Fantastic pedal emulating the classic 70s Acoustic 360 bass amp. One used once in the house. Very faithful sound reproduction of the 360 in a tiny package. Much easier to carry than a full 70s head! Pickup Leyland £75 or £80 delivered. Runs on 9v power supply or battery (not included).
