Fantastic beast of a bass cab. This is the Klystron model which was the top of the range from Ashdown. Its been well used. Has a fee rips and tears, which ive trimmed and coloured the wood, so it looks fine. It has great heavy duty wheels on it AND side handles AND a top carry / push bar. The absolute beast for bass players. The wheels, handles and bar make it a doddle to push around. The quality of the cab and speakers speak for themselves. Find any top band and theres one of these on stage - backline hire companies etc the list goes on and on. Please be awarr this is not a pristine cab. Do not buy if youre expecting an as new, un gigged cab. Any questions or more photos, just ask. I'll post photos of the tears etc later. I got this at a great price with the intention of using it - and then the band say we are going in ears - so I'll pass the bargain on to a bass chatter - just make an offer. I believe in karma, so I'll sell very cheap as its xmas. Absolite xmas bargain - these were £1300 new! Pick up only Leyland, Lancashire.

RM also has a headphone socket and aux socket so he can play along to his favourite tracks without disturbing anyone too.

I love this rig. Not had it long, bought used but in great condition. Unfortunately the gigging restrictions are taking its toll, and as my svt7 hasn't sold I'm having to try and sell this as well. See which sells first. Firstly the LH1000 is a genuine 1000w amp. Lovely sound. Very easy controls. A lot of people struggle because they set everything flat at 5 (12 noon), but flat is bass 3, mid 10, treble 0. Set like that with the brite and limiter on it sounds so full of character and power. The hydrive 4x10 is lovely. Very lightweight - mid 20s kg. Also has removable castors for easy moving. It has a real character to the sound, one which helped brighten up my tone. It's a lovely rig. Easy to move around and built to last. Also you can add another cab (if 8ohm) and theres a nifty balance knob on the amp so you can choose how much power you want to send to each cab. Ideal if adding a 2x10 or 1x15 - just adjust accordingly for perfect distribution. Great rig. Dont want to sell, but needs must, unless my svt sells first. Pick up Leyland, Lancashire.

Cheers, I had sold the M18, so just wondered if there was a cheaper alternative. If not, the m18 looks a good option.

Perfect! Is there any manual mixers that would allow us to take six individual unique mixes from that?

Hi all, Our band is very loud. So I've decided to go IEM. I have the basschat classic P2 and zs10 pro. We play all over the place, so dont have the same sound people all the time, but I would like consistency over our monitoring, so I wondered if this existed.... When I used the RCF M18 it had the ability to let everyone via their own smartphone have full control over the monitor mix, without interfering with the sound guys mix (phones are just locked on monitor 1, 2 ,3 etc). Now, we cant use the M18 on our travels, as it relies on the sound guy knowing how to use it, so is there any way theres a magic xlr loaded box that will allow us to plug our xlrs (mics and Dis) into it, then send an out for each xlr to something like the M18 AND a send for each xlr to the sound guy. Then we would be able to control our stage sound or IEMs and leave the foh sound to the sound guy and his gear.

Yes, my hartke flat is bass at 2, mids at 10 and treble 0.
-
...... flat according to your amp then.

Years and years of tinkering and I discovered one answer.... Run everything flat. If not happy, then work out what each eq dial/slider does. If running flat gives a desperate feeling something is missing, then dial in from there. Only if essential.

Looks class! Are they similar to the abm iv cab sound of the 4x10?

I cant work out why Ashdown (direct) only have deals on their guitar stuff. I get they want to promote it etc, and I understand why not to have a black friday sale, but hammering bassists with ads for expensive guitar amps doesnt make much sense to me.

Ashdown - just disable/take out the pre shape. Then you've any tone you want at all.

Rio Isolated Bass Track - is it John Taylor?

JT is a fantastic player and musician. To come up with those lines in the first place is brilliance. The little clips he put out in the summer were superb. Clearly shows how he evolved the songs with his rhythm section. -
Ahh, actually the bridge hum is still there. Touch it and it stops. But it's only there when the middle pick up is engaged.

Hi all, I have a burns bison bass. It seems to have 2 major issues. Firstly there are 3 single coil pickups which can be switched to use either the first and third or first, second and third. When using first and third there is no hum at all. When bringing on the second there is big hum if you let go of the strings and massive hum if you touch the pickup, which I do as it's right where my fingers go. It also had a hum issue with the bridge, but I've soldered the wire to the bridge (it was just resting) and that seems to have sorted that. So, does anyone have any ideas of how to eliminate the second pickup hum? Thanks in advance.

The l1000 (I'm not sure about the 500) has a preamp valve which sounds nice and warm. The real trick is to read about how the tone stack works properly. Settings for flat are not (out of 10) bass 5, mid 5, treble 5, but instead bass 3, mid 10, treble 0. That gives a great starting point. I can see how others may have struggled if they used everything at 5,5,5 perhaps even 7,5,7 in a band setting. I fully expected to rig the rm500 up and it be close enough for me to keep with the l1000 that I would keep the rm500. But it really did sound a lot thinner and drier (understandably). I suppose it's different amps for different people, but this works for me with the hydrive cab.

Fingers crossed they do something with the new neos Lozz, can only see guitar deals from them at the moment.

If the 2x10s together sounded identical to the 410 evo iv cab, I'd be interested. I gave the 410 a good run out with the abm600 and it gets better and better the more you push it.
-
Yeh, it really surprised me Lozz. It's a really really nice sound through the hydrive 410 cab. The RM (to be fair at least 10kg lighter) really sounded weak next to it. I cant comment on how the lh1000 does in a band setting yet though.

I've A/B against my RM500 and the difference is night and day. A real full richness across the frequency. It makes the RM sound thin and fragile. Bass at 3, mids full on at 6, treble at 0 - pretty much flat, sounds awesome. Yes, its heavy compared to a class d, but the difference in sound is massive. I'm really shocked to see you can get these for around £350 new!!
