No, it was dv247. Andertons are order only. I ordered froms dv247 yesterday and it due any minute. Cant beat that. And it was cheaper. I ordered some ghs precision flats with it, as per the bass whisperer video, and got another £15 off. All in all £500 delivered.

G&L fan here! I've got a LB100 coming today. Cant wait! That SB looks and sounds great!

I know it's frustrating, but it's just the way things are manufactured now. It's a throw away society. You cant win. Either a new board is expensive in relation to the cost of the amp, or the part is cheap but the labour of diagnosing and fixing is expensive. Got to put a mention Ashdowns way. I'm sure they pride themselves on their amps having serviceable parts, so they can always be fixed. The old school ways are the best sometimes.

Afternoon all, Its very very rare i ever buy a new bass. Having just bought one (g&l m2000) and another on the way (g&l lb100) i am just wondering do people still treat their bass necks when buying a new bass? I dont know if this is still a thing, but the last expensive new bass i bought was around 20 years ago, when there was a plethora of neck treatments and lubrications being pushed. Anyone do this still? Or will it be fine just as is? Thanks

A weird title, but where do you all positioning your right (plucking) hand when playing? Being a p bass player near all my life I find it really comfortable between the pickups and bridge. However when I've moved to a jazz I just found the pickups in the way, so much I completely lowered them. I recently had a year back with a p bass - very comfortable. However I've just bought my first double humbucker bass and find it really difficult to find where to play. Over the individual humbuckers is difficult because I keep whacking them, and in between is very short space. Last night I tried much closer to the neck, above the highest humbucker and it took some getting used to as my frtting hand stayed the same but my right arm was much more closer to it than usual. The sound was fantastic though, much more rich and punchy than where I normally play.

Are the job Willis settings loud enough? As the drive affects volume on a lot of these sims?

You need the duffers to make the good ones sound good. If you give them all out quality from start to finish then it just becomes the norm. Rise and fall is where it's at for building a set list.

Yes. The helix grows with you. So any new fx, upgrades, ideas, settings you get for free. It's an astounding piece of kit. It really is. The routing is superb. Having the ability to send an amp sim to your cab, but the same amp sim and a cab sim to the desk is magic. It allows you to get a proper sound to the desk, but full control over your stage sound without affecting the desk.

The M I have has the following: 1. X1 master volume. 2. X1 pick up blend. 3. Eq - hi. 4. Eq - mid. 5. Eq - lo. It is permanently active.

I've got rotosound 77 flats on my m2000. Lovely. Growly low end and smooth top end.

Ive never had a lesson in my life. Completely self tought. I used to learn songs using the "hit every note on every string until it sounds right, then remember it, and move on to the next note" method. I burned tapes out by continually rewinding and playing songs using the above method to learn them. If i wanted to learn the official tab to a song, a book from the local music shop would cost around £20. Which when i was younger that was a substantial outlay - i got around £5 a week spending money. The song i wanted was always in the same book as 10 i didnt want to! (remember that!). There was no internet to get sheet music from, or to source any tab, tutors where very expensive (and tought the same old same old rubbish), there was no method of getting hold of backing tracks without bass on to play along to - AND now i come to remember there was no way of getting a song to learn unless you bought it! So, all in all, ANY lessons online - given the millions out there - has to be good value in comparison!
