I got this yesterday as an ex demo immaculate condition. Less than half price. 4x10 speakers - 600w rms at 8ohm. These are the nexus cabs to compliment the impressive looking nexus range. Firstly it's VERY well made. Nice proper stuff n nuff paint covering but looks really well applied and thick without looking awful. Looks a really nice finished article. Back panel has input speakon, but they look like dual speakon where they can take a standard jack cable too, and a link socket to another cab. Also two horn switches for on and off, and full and half. First impression I had when I unboxed was ...... have they sent me the right cab? I looks for all intent and purposes like a small 1x15! But I've checked and it's a 4x10, it's amazing they can make them this compact. Memories of my old ashdown mag 410 deep where like carrying a house around. Weight is brilliant at 23kg - that's the same weight as a barefaced 410. With all the raving and praise barefaced get for lightweight cabs, it's amazing no one has mentioned these. Having owned a barefaced the laneys feel much more substantial and not in the slightest delicate like barefaced can. It feels solid and it's dimensions don't make you feel it could get knocked over or backwards. It's well proportioned and has enough weight to feel substantial. It is however still 23kg. Don't go getting carried away thinking this is like lifting a feather! Handles are quality metal and easily up to the job. Sound wise - and it's only had house play so far - is awesome. Very rich and filling sound. Nice and tight, but with something musical to it, rather than just tight. Paired with my quilter 800 it coped easily with very high and very low notes without losing any quality. It also sounds good whatever eq I seemed to put through it. It's going to get an outing at this weekends gig, which is quite a large one, so it'll have a proper test. It's even a really viable option for an 8x10 if needed - x2 cabs at 23kg each. And these cabs, considering what you get are cheap! You can get them new for around £500 - half of a barefaced st or 410. Specs are similar at 101db sensitivity and 23kg. I've never really followed the fashionable way when it comes to gear, so my quilter and laney partnership is rocking and rolling for less than a grand. And fits into the boot of any car with room for a whole host of other equipment too! Just need to sort a cover now.

I can strongly recommend checking out the Laney N410. I've just bought one. They're the same weight as a barefaced 410 at 23kg, but much more solid and sturdy feeling. Switchable on/half/off horn. Brilliant sound to boot. Same sensitivity as the barefaced at 101db. And less than half price. I'm gonna gig mine this weekend.

Excellent condition rack case. Super strong and lightweight. I love these cases as the lids have zip up mesh compartment for storing cables etc. I have written TOP and FRONT on the case to help when setting up. I've also written my number on in case it got lost, but I'm sure you can tape over, paint over and scrub it off. Pick up Leyland Lancashire.

Hi all, Im selling my MarkBass 106 classic cab. My favourite cab ever. 6x10 neo speakers, in a cab built to withstand everything you can throw at it. It comes in at only 32kg ! Thats almost as light as a barefaced 6x10 - and its built so much more solid. Comes with tilt back heavy duty casters - and they are brilliant - and a metal bar for ease of transportation. Its also 6 ohms - so its the perfect comprimise on any amp - doesnt drive it too hard but you get a lot of power into it. It can easily take 900w, but a few hundred watts and you have more than enough power and volume. Ive used this indoor at large gigs and outdoor at large festivals and never, ever, had to worry about volume. If youve never had a 6x10 - its the best experience. Forget having to wring every last bit out of your amp, the extra speakers is where the volume is at. Its very easily manageable - the wheels and bar make it a doddle to wheel around, but if you need to lift it into a van or on stage it is easily done. 32kg is ridiculously light for a 6x10. Ive had 4x10s at 50kg and 2x12 at 35kg! Remember this is not the "standard" markbass 610, its the "classic" - great rich, old school sound. Its in good condition, but does have a few small marks through gigging. The tape on the photos is from when i first got it, it had like a pluck, so i just put electrical tape over it to stop it catching again, and left it there ever since. Ive shown all these in the photos. Remember they will be a lot less noticeable in real life. I've also made a crude but effective cover that also has a handle gap, so you can wheel it about when it's still on. Official spec here: http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/classic-106/ grab an absolute bargain. save your back, but enjoy a monster cab! £395 pick up only from Leyland, just off M6.

I think every time in every band ive ever joined - the first hour i managed to muck everything up. Probably struggle to remember my own name, but everything has always worked out fine in the end. Take a few deep breaths - keep talking as it calms your nerves - and youll soon get into it. Good luck. -
Ashdown RM212T cab. Very loud, quality cab. Good condition, just a few marks from transporting. Built very strongly and well. Built to last. Has quality side handles. Only selling due to only doing larger gigs. Unfortunately, id written my band and contact details on the cab (shown in pics) im not sure if theyll come off - probably will - but could be painted over i suppose if you wanted to do that. This is reflected in the price. Slight marks on the side shown in the pics. They are a lot less noticeable in real life. https://ashdownmusic.com/products/rm-212t Pick up Leyland, Lancashire. £95

I guess I over exaggerated the riding the desk a little bit, but it was to try and explain that our set up is a little different to a standard 4 piece. What I do when I have a physical monitor is move around if I'm struggling to hear a certain instrument. Ie if the guitar is slightly lower for a song I can move closer to it, if the keys are a lot louder for a certain song, I can move away from them. If i need to get real tight with the drums i can move right next to the drummer. If i need to hear me louder i can move next to my bass cab. Having complete isolation via headphones completely gets rid of the ability to do that. That's probably what I'm struggling with. That and the complete lack of being able to get into the performance.

My set up for the last 2 gigs – and I know it’s not ideal: Band mix, with me really low in the mix. There’s only me using in ears. We all still use amps and cabs. Mix from desk goes to my behringer p2 then zs10s. Everyone else has their own physical speaker monitors. Main problems are: 1. Not all the drums are mic'd, so I had real trouble in not hearing the high hat for example. 2. Our set really needs constant riding on the desk. We are a queen tribute band so almost every song is a different sound and mix. We consist of, drums (large kit), bass (me), guitar, keys and synth, main vocals, 3 backing vocals, iPad for set intros. We arent just a one sound type of band, other wise it would be easier. 3. Full isolation is nearly impossible without risking a huge blunder, there’s too much going on – banter with the crowd, vocal intros, instrument intros etc. I really need to hear everything. When i get isolation with the headphones its a lottery what i cant hear. 4. We did have an issue with guitar last gig, I could hear it if the headphone jack was half out, but not if fully in. This didn’t happen with other instruments. 5. I’ve no control over mix levels, just overall volume on the p2. Hope that helps. I realise it’s not ideal, but when I took the in ears out mid way through the second set it was like I’d come alive. Everything was rich and more rock n roll (if that makes sense) rather than a poor mp3 player sound.

Sorry, been busy this week, will write up my set up later, thanks again.
-
I'm in the same boat. A quilter 800 and supertwin would be an amazing huge sounding little lightweight rig!
-
Haha, sorry no, there's no miracle tune yet I'm afraid! some units are sold with old software on, hence the nudge to upgrade.
-
Depending on what software you have (I've just upgraded to the one that's a few months old) you'll get a tuner flashing red on footswitch 3. From there you have a few options of what type of tuner to choose from. Oh, and they're just 'normal tuners. There's no miracle instant tune etc
-
Has everyone updates their software too? As soon as you do - whoosh - instant tuners! That's another pedal gone.
-
We'll...... I just can't get used to in ears. It's slightly harder as our set is so eclectic in style - from hard rock to ballads, jazz to funk - that the mix is never right. Also, having huge problems 'feeling it'. Just end up standing there like I'm listening to an mp3 player. Best advice o had last gig was to just use one. So in the second set half way through I popped the left ear out and kept the right in. It was brilliant. Got that feel back and could hear everything great with the balance of drums to my left and guitars, vocals and keys in my right. Still 50/50 whether to ditch them or not. I hate the isolation part.

I used the aqua51 (db51) and ir 810 cab last night, and it sounded lovely. Very full and rich. 100% authentic.

The routing is an absolute gem of an idea. I said a few years ago - what's the point of modelling a svt and 8x10 cab, then putting it through say my 6x10 then through the pa? The helix allows me to have 2 simultaneous outputs and options - 1 sends a modelled svt and modelled 8x10 cab with a modelled mic to foh pa, the other sends just the svt to my actual cab. Magic.
-
It's a different class. To be honest, it's criminal they are selling these so cheap. It's worth it for ANY of the amp models alone.
-
Is the Walkabout really underpowered for the real world?
la bam replied to Muzz's topic in Amps and Cabs
It's why I went for a 6x10. You can gig anywhere indoor and outdoors with any amp and not have to worry about volume. I'd be happy gigging anywhere with a 610 and my backup trace elf. When people write amps off because they're "not loud enough" etc it's completely wrong. Find the amp you love then match your speakers to it's use / venue. -
Helix Stomp into whatever power amp you want. Unbeatable.

Cheers fellas. Might have found one now. That squier looks just the ticket!
