  1. Tomas bought a jazz body and bits and pieces from me. Totally smooth transaction. Very easy guy to deal with.
  2. You don't half go through basses buddy. Have you kept count?
  3. Not the easiest thing to weigh but here you go - a bit under 6lb. I'm confident in saying it's pretty light and will build into a bass around the 9lb mark.
  4. I'm 95% sure this is a Squire Classic Vibe body. The pickups are Fender 60s custom shop and the pots are CTS. The bridge looks like it's Squire. This is something that I've gigged loads of times but now selling as I've got too many basses! Some minor cracks in finish around neck pocket. UK postage included in price.
  5. Gotta love rosewood (pau ferro?) blocks and binding. Killer looking bass.
  6. That looks the bomb. Much prefer painted instruments to exotic wood finishes. Good luck.
  7. Nut width is 48mm. Asking price is £995.
  8. Thinning the herd and this isn't getting much use. I bought this as I have a Mustang which I really like playing but I find the 19 fret neck a bit limiting. This has 22 frets and a super slim neck so a bit more versatile and even though 2" longer in scale than the Mustang, still very easy to play. You can see from the pictures it has a paint chip but other than that no issues on the finish. Truss rod is like an MM Stingray which is a nice touch. Currently strung with LaBella flats. It has Fender USA 75 RI pickups in it (I'll supply the originals). If you want it returned to stock, I'll drop the price by £50. No hardcase with this. Local pickup in Brighton preferred but will box it up for anyone who wants to arrange a courier. Thanks for looking.

  9. Thinning the herd so this is up for sale. I bought this to replace a 78 jazz that I'd sold due to being a bit too heavy. It's so pretty that I'm scared to take it anywhere. I got a small ding in it (shown in pic) and wanted to cry. I don't want to keep something that I'm so precious about! Plays and sounds great. Nice combo of skinny fret wire but more modern flatter radius. No hardcase with this. Local pickup in Brighton preferred but I'll box it up for anyone who wants to arrange a courier. It will come with the white pickguard that it was sold with.
  10. Selling this as thinning down the herd. I got this as I wanted a passive jazz to string with flats to take to jazz jams but I've come to the realisation that I only like flats on a 4 string P so this duplicates my GB Spitfire. Been gigged a small handful of times but mainly bedroom use. Currently strung with pretty fresh DR Hi Beams. No hardcase with this. Local pickup in Brighton preferred but will box this up for anyone who wants to arrange a courier. It will come with the original white pickguard. Thanks for looking.
  11. If you're playing certain songs with a pick because you're hitting a limitation in your fingerstyle then putting the time in to overcome that limitation is probably the way to go in the long term as you'll be taking your overall level up a notch. Easier said than done though 🙂
  12. Mustangs are the bomb. I've got a Japanese reissue with thomastik flats and it almost sounds like an upright. Obvs with none of the portability issues. GLWTS
  13. Lovely looking instrument. Where have they hidden the truss rod adjuster?
  14. These are nice. I have one in charcoal frost metallic. Fender Japan quality is hard to beat.
  15. Alright buddy. Might you be interested in one of these as a trade? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124220539246?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fTsaZabSSuS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=TxrKQVW6TRy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  16. I bought a GR bass head off Brian. Everything good on this purchase.
  17. I wish I'd known that masses of repetition is needed to ingraine whatever it is you're trying to learn.
  18. I think it's pretty tough on the bass because the note on the beat needs to be nice and long so you have to be on it with your fretting hand fingerings and shifting. I try to play softly with the right hand to smooth out the sound. Definitely a WIP for me. Check out Dario Deidda on YouTube. He has bebop down.
  19. Sorry mate, I think modes are absolutely the WRONG path. Learn chord tones instead. Learn fingerings for 7 chords from major and minor harmony. Learn the inversions of all these chords all over the neck in all keys. You will progress way faster if you focus on chord tones.
