1. That could work. One of my grade 8 pieces for trombone was a 3-part cello suit adapted for trombone. Itssemi-quaver galore at 120 BPM. And yes speed/fitting in as many notes as possible is not the end all be all. I also had a piece in 3/2, very slow... Gustav Mahler's 3rd Symphony trombone solo. Its all about you really. ABRSM/Trinity GuildHall always seem to have a kindof snobish attitude to modern instruments such as guitars, etc.
2. I suppose it depends on your external equipment? I mean is it a mini mixer set-up or something? I'm using Logic & a behringer mixer with mic & DI from bass amp. No problems.
3. Blind stab in the dark. #3 awesome sounding track, btw!
4. In 2010 I bought an ashdown 'electric blue 180' which pre-dates 2004. I thought it was a steal at £60, very good condition. While it is giggable and it is a tank of a combo, is it worth adding a 1x15/2x10 cab to it to get the full 300 watts? Or to get some newer dcent gear? Cheers.
5. paving a way for a new genre? This has made me look at this song in a new light. If we're posting mashups, I like this one, 'ThunderBusters' does go very well IMHO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiH1wNmZTII
6. Cheers for the help guys! Might go pick one of those up tomorrow! @apa, you mention new pickups, are there any in particular I should be looking out for? Regards.
7. I just wonder whether this guy is talking about chords and their inversions? Like a D7 with D in the bass sounds a lot better than a D abouve the chord, as there is no lower 'pulling power' for the chord, so to speak.
