Lovely colour! Picture 8, has there been some paint repair done inside the lower horn?
The 'paint repair' is that the previous owner has brushed over with a touch up paint. You can see this on pictures 8 and 9. As above, not the best job in the world but then not a complete disaster either. Personally I'd have just left it - but it's on there now - never bothered me as they are out of sight when on a playing or on a stand.

It's a Fender Roscoe Beck I believe.

I've got a Midnight Wine 2008 Jazz, that will be making an appearance in the for sale section on here very soon. Great bass it is as well. As has been said good and bad examples around from all brands....

"not a Rockbass" Warwick Streamer? (Gumtree)
bagsieblue replied to mcnach's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
One of the early German budget ranges? - Streamer Standard. One piece bridge, Carolena body, a precursor to the Rockbass but they were made in Germany - not bad basses really. -
What do you get when you combine a Yamaha TRB with RBX?
bagsieblue replied to Jellyfish's topic in Bass Guitars
I do like the look of these - being a Yammy should be pretty solid as well -
I see that there are recent Fender Standard USA Jazz's around? Is the newer range the one with the Custom Shop 60's pickups? Is this the only significant difference? What are the general opinions on the difference in the pickups - better / worse than the American Standard Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickups? Final question, has the custom shop pickup version now replaced the American Standard Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickup version as the Standard USA Fender Jazz option?

Do not like the typical Rickenbacker clanky metallic tone at all. Really gets on my wick...
