  2. Warwick $$ Doublebuck 4 String - Now £699 shipped mainland UK. Dates from 2006: Feeding the serial number into the Warwick Serial number checker gives the spec as: Produced - 06.09.2006 Description - Corvette $$, 4-string Nirvana Black Oil finish Swamp Ash body Ovangkol neck Black hardware Made in Germany In good overall condition given the age - some minor marks/scars on the body of the bass and some signs of wear on the pickup casings. I took this in trade and it needed a lot of TLC. The bass has had a thorough clean, board cleaned and oiled and frets polished. As can be seen in the photos previous owner has rubbed gold effect paint into the grain. Some of this was loose so I sprayed over the body with a can of compressed air to remove all the loose parts - this removed anything that was loose, I also rubbed over the body with Warwick wax to further 'seal' the finish. Many photos below as I've tried to capture this in different lights. A previous owner had some fun with the electrics too - the volume and blend pots had changed positions (!!) and one of the micro switches wasnt latching properly. I've relocated the pots in the correct positions, tidying up the wiring and put in 2 new switches for the pickups - after some trial and error on my part. See this thread: 3 Way Switch - Single, Series, Parallel - Wiring Help Please - Repairs and Technical - Basschat A versatile bass with the pickup configurations.
  3. Thanks - I'll do this when I get some spare time over the next fews days and will report back.
  4. Thanks for checking back - I'll try again when I have more time. I havent put a link in between, I will do this but I've held a wire in place and flicked the switch and nothing appears to change with that. I'll try going close to a screen too and see if that helps identify. Here is the bass.....
  5. Thanks for the input - yes, did do. All looks fine, sounds fine too - I'm just not hearing any difference between switch positions 2 and 3 (centre and facing down)
  6. Thanks - that's the set up that I have, apart from a jumper wire between 2 and 3. I've held a wire in place and changed the switch and there is no difference with the jumper wire in place. Maybe the switch is upside down......
  7. .....and this is a photo of the board with the switches that I removed. Same orientation it looks to me - I'm puzzled....
  8. Here is the neck pickup switch. The unthreaded notch I have on the underside. Wired up down the right hand side of the switch as: Green Black Red
  9. Thanks for that - I'm sure the switches arent wired upside down. To be sure - I have the notch in the thread on the bottom or the underside, facing downwards - is that right?
  10. Diagram here - admittedly this is the Rockbass. It's curious on this that the picked wires are coloured differently? Even on the full wiring diagram different colour wires from the neck and bridge pickup go to different positions on the switch!!
  11. Looking for some help on replacing a 3 Way Switch as - Single, Series, Parallel. I'm replacing a dodgy switch on a Warwick Doublebuck. Drawing is here: I've had to replace the 2 x PCB mounted switches (shown below as the switch module) with 2 x individual switches, but have wired following the drawing below. All works OK and is sounding great - apart from I only appear to have 2 settings per switch/pickup rather than 3. Position 1 single coil is fine. Position 2 is a humbucker mode variation Position 3 is humbucker mode variation I hear no difference between position 2 and 3. This is the same on both pickups so I'm assuming I've got something wrong somewhere. Looking for input on what I need to do to get to the differing series and parallel settings. Looking at the drawing - do I need a jumper wire between the top right and middle left positions?. I assumed the switch covered that? or do I need to wire in a wire? I've tried placing a wire between those two positions but that doesnt seem to change the sound either?
  12. PM sent - Edit - then checked and realised it wouldn't fit!! Apologies.
  13. Maybe, happy to listen, feel free to PM me.

  17. Hopefully these help - one of the shallower front to back variations
  18. Gutless and anaemic is my view on the D800. I've a Mesa Walkabout that destroyed the D800 through the same cabs, Barefaced...EAD Foundation, Bill Fitz Maurice.
  19. Yes for me - can't see I'd be going near the D800+ after the disappointment on the D800 either.
  20. Agreed on the Subway - I found the Subway gutless!!
