  8. Precision Bass Body - Black - Now £60 Posted. Plenty of wear - I've used this on a few builds and its worked well. Usual 64mm neck pocket - I've had various Fender style necks on this. I think it's solid wood but not 100% sure on that - see photos of where paint has scraped away in the control cavity and also the photos of the neck pocket. Weight 3.065kg
  9. Ahh - I see you are a glass half empty kinda guy! Actually - its a 2 finger Kit Kat with 50% extra free!!!
  10. Status The Groove - 4 String - Sold Status The Groove - 4 String £429 shipped Mainland UK. Taken recently in part trade, nice bass but I need to replace some funds. No trades thanks. Can be thought of as a Status take on the Stingray? – maybe a little more versatile too with the active / passive switch. Made In England. The usual Status high build quality. Bass is very well set up, very tactile and responsive. There is a shim in the neck - happy to remove it if required, but it plays so well I've left it there. I find the bass cut and boost on this to be well voiced at 120HZ Nice figuring on the fretboard. Just a couple of small marks on the underside of the bass edge. Some scuffs and scrapes on the end of headstock The all important specs: Active eq: Treble +/- 11db at 5.5KHz Bass +/- 12db at 120Hz Active/passive switch TriMax Hum-cancelling pickups 21 fret Rosewood f/b Chrome hardware Alder body Maple neck
  11. Now open to trades on this: Spector 5 String NS5CRFM - Euro - Upgraded EMG 40TW Pickups & Tonepump. £1150 Shipped Mainland UK - Now £950 Shipped. Spector NS5CRFM Bass. Made in Czech Republic. 34" Scale but still a great B String. Only selling as I prefer my Stingray 5 String for 5 string needs - thats a 34" scale too. My opinion - I dont buy into this scale length mumbo/jumbo. My view is that the so called floppy B string is due to inconsistent (not correctly ratio'ed) string gauge sizing. The bass has Solid Maple body wings, solid brass bridge. Schaller Tuners. These older CRFM Spector are constructed like the current USA Spector specifications are now with solid maple wings. The current EURO models have 3 piece wings with a walnut tone plate. From the resources on the Spector website I believe this dates from 1999. I've done a lot of pickup and preamp swapping over lockdown. I've changed pickups and preamps a number of times in this bass and settled on this as my favourite configuration. (Passive pickups and a Sadowsky Pre Amp where the second favourite for anyone interested!) It's a configuration that was not available from Spector when this bass was originally manufactured, which I configured to match my 4 String Spector TW. I enjoy the bunch of different sounds that can be got from the 4 String TW so wanted to copy with this. The bass now sports 2 x 40TW EMG Pickups - New cost c£100 each. Preamp is a tonepump - New cost c£70 each. Link here: https://www.emgpickups.com/40tw.html The single coil options give a lovely round J pickup sound and the Dual Coil option give even more meaty goodness to the tone. Note there are many scuffs, scrapes, chips in the control cavity cover etc and lacquer cracks on the bass as shown in the photographs. This is a 21 year old bass that has been well used - However, this is nothing that affects playability.
  12. No, I'm on a clear out. Credo...I had to Google it.....I'm old, but still a no for me I'm afraid!.
  13. To be honest Mick I'm wavering on keeping it. Pretty unique as a Jazz with Tonepump, certainly a different voice from my other Spector basses. I'd forgot how good this was until I took it out the case!......
  14. Spector NS2000 - Now £550 shipped Mainland UK Spector Resources page says these date from 1999 to 2003. An excellent bass, one of my most gigged favourites. I've had a few stock Euro Rebops (Bolt On, Passive EMG HZ Pickups configuration) and this has knocked spots off all of them. Features include: 3-piece maple neckthru body construction (as per US/original Euro models) Curved maple body & figured maple top (as per US/original Euro models) 34” scale / 24 fret neck Upgraded Active EMG 35 J Pickups (Jazz pickups in a soapbox housing housing - new price c£85 each) Upgraded electrics to a Tonepump (new price c£70) Brass nut Heavy duty bespoke Spector locking bridge and hardware (all black) The bass is a very attractive colour - quite hard to describe but let go for slate grey which under lights seems to flipflop between a blue/purple and greenish grey. Condition is very good for the age, just a few light marks on the bass. The Spector ‘crown’ inlays are fretboard stickers (covering dots). These do not get in the way when playing and can easily be removed by peeling off if required. ...I'll find a screw to replace the missing one on the control cavity.
