  1. Agreed, he's still going strong too. My band Soldato opened for Pete Way in Blackpool in December.
  2. Another deal with Dan selling a footswitch. As always a pleasure, an easy straight forward deal. Thanks again.
  3. Correct, the TWs are on more recent basses and have red logos.
  4. I believe they will be the stock active EMG Dual Coil Humbucking EMGs.

  6. I bought it second hand so don't know the origin of this one im afraid.
  7. Musicman Stingray 5 H in Honeyburst - OHSC - Now £1099 shipped mainland UK, or collect from Chorley Lancs. Reluctant sale but currently no income so need to release a few things for cash - No Trades. Very good overall condition, dating from 2004 and comes in Musicman hard case. Points to mention, and all are shown in the photographs, a small lacker crack near the neck pocket, a few scuffs on the headstock and a small ding on the upper horn. The bass has been used but not abused and it in very good shape overall in my view for a 16 year old bass. Weight of bass is 4.541kg, which is 10lbs in old money. More than happy to provide any further photos or info. Copy and paste of the specs (I think this is all correct): * Finish: Honey Burst, with white pickguard and chrome hardware. * Body: Select ash. * Neck: High grade maple. * Scale: 34" (Standard long scale). * Frets: 22, high profile, narrow width. * Nut: 44,5 mm. * Headstock: Natural. * Tuners: Schaller BM, placed in the 4+1 design. * Bridge: Original Music Man USA. Chrome plated, hardened steel bridge plate. * Pickups: 1x Original Music Man USA humbucker, with white cover. With pole pieces and additional phantom coil to cancel hum in all 3 positions (serial, parallel and single coil). A classic among the bass pickups, famous for its relentless punch and rocking character. * Electronics: 1x volume, 1x treble, 1x mids, 1x bass, 3-way switch. * Absolutely outstanding quality of selected woods, craftsmanship, handling and sound!
  8. Ernie Ball Stingray SUB 5 String - USA Made - £499 collected (social distancing) Chorley, Lancashire or can ship for £30 Mainland UK. No Trades. Ernie Ball Stingray SUB 5 - Naturally Roadworn....see the photographs. As you'll most likely know this "is" a USA Stingray. These USA basses were made alongside the full blown Stingrays in the USA Ernie Ball factory in San Louis Obispo. Reputedly Ernie Ball stopped making these as they were too good for the money / EB were loosing money on each one they sold and also cannibalising the sales of full blown Stingrays! These basses are essentially what later became the classic stingray, minus some of the fancy woods and finishes. (Slab body, Stingryay 4 style pickguard, 2 band eq, vintage style neck plate, ...) The bass plays brilliantly - certainly a players bass, its well set up and has all the usual Stingray tones and punch. The usual USA Musicman quality, classic Stingray sounds. Note there are plenty of areas of wear on the body and wear to the neck and headstock as shown in the photographs. These consist of: - numerous dings/dents etc on the body of the bass - wear around the edges of the headstock - wear on the neck, this is where the finish has worn off then neck, but note one chip on the bottom side back of the neck, to be clear - there is a small amount of wood missing. - tab on the battery cover is missing, still open fine with thumbnail, small screwdriver etc - the G string tuner ear is a little bent but still functions fine. - a couple of the tuner ears were a slightly loose in the slot of the tuning peg, I dropped a spot of superglue into these to secure them better. Weight is 4.479kg, which is a tad under 10lbs.
  9. Hondo Deluxe Series 830 Matching Headstock - £179 shipped Mainland UK. No trades please. I think it dates from 1983 if I'm reading the serial number correctly. I also believe the pickup may be a Di Marzio DP122. Weight 4.3KG. A few bumps and scrapes fitting in with the age of the instrument. Looks to be a lovely 1 piece maple neck. Replacement tuners Gotoh, though some 2 have the tabs missing and 1 x extra hole drilled per per tuner into the headstock. Small superficial lacquer cracks on both sides of the neck pocket. Some small amounts of lacquer missing on the underside of the fretboard - see last photo. A decent, vintagey P bass for not too much cash.
  10. Bought a p bass pickup from Aidan. Easy, straight forward deal. Would be more than happy to deal with again.
  11. Squier Pete Wentz Bitsa Bass - £275 shipped Mainland UK. Still needing to free up some cash from the collection I'm afraid. Squier Pete Wentz Body, a few minor scuffs on the body but nothing major. Duncan Designed PB105 Pickup. All is nice and clean and well set up. Points to note. Its a Bitsa. Neck - Not a genuine Fender neck, but certainly very good quality and definitely a better quality neck than the stock squier one. There is a very tiny bit of little wear on the underside of the first fret on the black part- hopefully this can be seen in the photo. You'll see some of the bridge screws appear a little rounded, they screw and unscrew absolutely fine - If I find some replacement screws (I though I had some but cant locate them at present) I'll replace them. Strings are a bit dull - I do like dull rounds on a P bass though.

  19. Up for sale is my Warwick Streamer Stage 1 from 1992 - Given the below I'd prefer a buyer to view the instrument. ****Since Original Listing The Bass I have been contacted by a previous owner and an employee of Wilkes Guitars***** ****Comments are copied below - with permission***** The previous owner has contacted me to say that the bass was professionally repaired by Dougie Wilkes Of Wilkes Guitars. The bass had a knock that caused the crack. The headstock was not detached. The age of this repair is approx 8 years ago. ********************************************* Also from a Wilkes Guitar Employee Hi, I’ve just come across your Warwick bass and saw Doug Wilkes name so read the description. I was actually Doug’s assistant (one of many) and I remember this bass in the workshop. I was there in 2013/2014. I wouldn’t worry about it, once Doug has repaired a guitar it’s better than new ********************************************* All flame maple body and neck (I believe), wenge fingerboard. Very little fretwear indeed. The stock electrics have been changed to EMG pickups complete with EMG pots and wiring (and knobs!). The bass is quite light at 3.62kg on digital kitchens scales, that just under 8lb! There are a few scars on the body and a little wear over the P pickup as shown in the photos but overall in pretty decent shape for a 28 year old bass. Now then - Full disclosure, the bass at some point in its life suffered the almost legendary for some Warwicks of this era - a neck / lacquer split / crack at the headstock end. Please see photos, I am more than happy to provide any more information and photos are requested. I've taken many photos of the neck and below I've attached the best ones. I, of course, realise this may put off many a potential buyer. I'd describe this crack as minor, I hope that my feedback and reputation on here gives some comfort to any potential buyer. I'd say it has had a crack but never completely broke off completely as the crack doesn't extend along the full width of the neck as far as I can see. The neck is functionally fine and the truss is sound and adjustable. Also, note that the truss rods are easily user replaceable in these early non volute Warwicks. In my opinion there is no ongoing issues whatsoever with this now or with any repair that was historically made. This is not something that negatively influences the playability whatsoever in my view - the bass is well set up and tweaking the relief action and truss rod to suit is not a problem - I've adjusted it many times.
