  3. Fender 1996/7 ' 62 RI MIJ Japan Left Handed Jazz Bass with upgraded pre amp and bridge. £599 shipped Mainland UK. The upgrades are: John East J-Retro preamp Gotoh bridge. In overall good condition for the age (1996/97), a few bumps and scratches as shown in the photographs. A ding underneath the control plate (below the 3rd knob), a ding on the upper horn, a lacquer crack or small repair behind the nut and some thumb wear over the pickup. As mentioned, they are shown in the photographs and are worth of a mention. The bass is over 20 years old so it has the usual wear that you could expect of a 20 year old instrument. The bass as some excellent upgrades:Fitted with a John East J-Retro preamp, giving must more variation and control than the normal electrics. Also fitted is the Gotoh bridge. Fender serial number checker says that the history of the bass is: Manufactured in the Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan in 1996 - 1997
