I have recently bought 2 x MarkBass Mo Mark Amps (the 500 Analogue Amp and the 600 Digital Amp) and have some spare modules left over. Amp Frame also available if you wanted to build your own: These modules are New Old Stock, boxed with either, no use, little use or demo use. Pre S1M HE (High End) - £65 posted Mainland UK EQ0 - £40 posted Mainland UK For trades - In my two amp frames at the moment I have the following modules: Pre S1M HE , S2 (2 input) , - EQ7G (parametric EQ) , EQ4 - MO Output So for any trades on these I would ideally want something different than what I already have - Happy to listen to any offers though...

New Year - New Clear Out - Now £300. These were the follow-on to the early 70s Bass Mk I Amplifier. This one has the same spider-frame 15" Celestion speaker and 2 x EL84 output valves as the Mk 1. (Interesting fact - those valves mean the same 15 watt output as the Mk 1 as well making the addition of "25" to the title possibly more to do with marketing...) The usual signs of wear are showing, such as minor scratches to the face and a bit of wear and tear, but certainly nothing major. I believe that - , the speaker is the original one, band that earlier versions were Celestions. Importantly, it comes with a sought after Celestion G15 - the original speaker which sounds amazing, and is why these were used as guitar amps by Dave Gilmour amongst others. Recently taken in trade from a local BC'er. I was going to use this as a bass / guitar hybrid option (sounds great with guitar too) but in all honesty I'm not going to gig it enough. £350 collected, Chorley, Lancashire - Any trial or inspection is welcome. Great condition, given the age, a couple of odd, scratchy whispers on a couple of the the pots but no big deal really.

New Year - New Clear Out: Warwick Thumb - 5 String - 1995 £850 - Plus Shipment at cost if required, No Trades. Condition is pretty good indeed for a 22 year old bass. A few scuffs and scrapes as shown in the pics. The E string saddle has rubbed off the black coating back to the brass a little. All is good, honest wear and doesn't affect playability. This really is a great Warwick Thumb Bass. Frets are good, neck is fine. Truss rod works fine. Note this is one of the early ones that has the user replaceable truss rod. Recessed straplocks removed, holes dowelled and replaced with traditional straplocks- the recessed ones I've removed weren't quite securing correctly. I'm in Chorley - Lancashire - any trial or inspection is welcome.

Now £399 Plus £15 to ship Mainland UK. Two setups in one head. The LMK is the only 2-channel bass amp head made by Markbass. The LMK bass amp is designed for maximum flexibility with a unique design that allows you to set up different tone, filter, and volume setting for two separate basses (electric and acoustic). You can also use the Markbass LMK to combine two different sound sources from one instrument, or use the amp to magnify your bass along with an auxiliary input such as a drum machine or sequencer with complete control of each input. Each input has a 4-band EQ, Markbass' VPF (Vintage Pre-shape Filter) and level control - with the master adding a (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) filters and over Master volume knob. On the LMK bass amp's rear panel you'll find a Neutrik Speakon combo jack output that accepts both Speakon or 1/4" speaker cable as well as a second 1/4" speaker out jack. You'll also find a balanced XLR out, unbalanced tuner out so you can tune as you play without passing your signal through pedals, and a Send and Return Effect loop which saves you from losing your signal if one of your pedals dies or a cable in the chain gives out. FEATURES Solid state preamp analog bass head Provides 300W RMS at 8 ohms, 500W RMS at 4 ohms 1/4" input jack works with active or passive basses Gain and Master volume controls Clip warning light EQs for both channels include controls for Low, Mid Frequency Low, High Frequency Low, and High and VPF (Vintage Pre-shape Filter) filters Master adds VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) filter Neutrik Speakon Combo out jacks for use with 1/4" or Speakon speaker cables Balanced XLR out Ch1/CH2 switch Ground lift switch to eliminate hum Tuner out sends unbalanced signal sent to a tuner, amp or recording equipment not needing a balanced signal Send and Return Effect ensures main signal continues even if something dies in your effects chain Dual-sided fiberglass PC boards with lined perforations for high-quality solder connections Surface-mount components are silicon-sealed to isolate vibrations Computer-grade pre-assembled ribbon connector cable harnesses and ribbons for noise-free operation Integrated threaded posts for easy assembly/disassembly and added durability Rigid 2mm thick aluminium chassis for a long-lasting finish

Some more words around the 250HZ High Pass Filter; via a nice summary here that I found online. I have used the high pass filter with great results in a live setting: The Eight Key Ranges of Bass EQ There is a lot you can sculpt with bass EQ – well, there is a lot more frequency range than you might think. In simple terms we can think of it like this - here are eight ranges and the type of work you can perform in each area. Boomy (40 Hz – 90 Hz) Fat (75 Hz – 150 Hz) Thin (40 Hz – 180 Hz) Power (40 Hz – 150 Hz) Impact (40 Hz – 150 Hz) Clarity (190 Hz – 800 Hz) Presence (800 Hz – 6.5 kHz) Attack (120 Hz – 4.1 kHz) Those first five are all sub-250 Hz. However, look at what you can do above that. Presence and attack can reach as far as 6.5 kHz. Then we have what might be the most important of all; Clarity. -
