Bailey BYO (Build Your Own) Guitar I bought this off the guitarist in our band, it's a guitar he made. He has since made another one so sold this. I'm selling this with his blessing, he's going to make me a bass! I wanted to keep it in the band family but it's far too good of a guitar for my limited skills and a distraction from the limited time I get to play / practice bass. I've got the drawings of the guitar as well which are a nice thing to have to keep with the guitar. The Spec is; Mahogany - neck and body Set neck Fretboard - Indian rosewood Mother of pearl fret markers White side markers Wilkinson e z-lok tuners Wilkinson wrapover bridge Wilkinson MWHB 'hot' pickups Natural oil finish Video of build here: https://youtu.be/cHc6adxdyDw The backing track on the video is by our band The MidNines and a song called "Busy" https://www.facebook.com/TheMidNines/ https://www.reverbna...com/themidnines Photos of the guitar build using Bailey guitars online build your own guitar course. EBS Neo 110 - Can anyone identify a replacement driver?
bagsieblue replied to bagsieblue's topic in Amps and Cabs
Didnt realise you could fix a blown speaker! - will see if I can get a rough quote from them. Thanks EBS_freak - yes does look like one of those. I'll put a wanted ad up for one of those - look to be £120 full price everywhere...eek. -
I have an EBS Neo 110 Cab that needs a replacement 10" Driver. I have a pair of these cabs so ideally need the same Driver to keep my matching pair. I've googled around and contacted: EBS (a number of times) - No reply A number of UK Distributors / Service Partners - No joy in identifying. I've googled around for info and not found a clear answer. Peering into the cab, there is no labels etc on the driver. Any help please? - I'd like to think it's a debadged readily available option.... Thanks in advance.

Strange response, am I missing something?

"what sort of band doesn't have amps and cabs on stage"? - for me, usually a fairly successful band that has got to the point where they are getting gigs in places bigger than the Dog & Duck and needing to give a good quality of sound controlled by one person at the desk. Usually a 2 second adjustment on the sliders compared to each member having their own backline and fiddling all night with little knowledge of what the out front sound is like. What's the new band Karl?, are you still in the old one? - PM me if you'd prefer. -
Both his book and the DVD that he bought out are very rewarding, and recommended.
Agreed - they are my favourite music based teaching book and my favorite teaching DVD. -
Swapping a Ferrari for a tadpole These can be couriered, and surprisingly cheaply. Having said that, the courier in question - think of a type of package and one of man's closest relatives - lost one of mine for close to two months. It was found in the back of one of its vans in, IIRC, Suffolk
Yeah - great cab, took it in the deal for an Ibanez bass, based on the glowing reports. The best cab I've ever had but completely impractical for my saloon car.

Selling my Cort Bitsa 5 String . I bought this to get back into rehearsing on a 5 string and having today picked up a posh 5 string I'm selling this one. Body is From a GB35 Neck is From a GB95 Nice, clean bass, I swapped the tuners swapped for some lighter weight ones - originals have been sold sorry. Weight (I remembered) - is 4.2kg (with replacement tuners) Good Points: Great starter / backup 5 string - Cort make great basses for the money as we know. Nice bound and block neck. Plays well, nice variantion from the J MM Pickups It's £160 Bad Points: Headstock is delaminanting a little - see pics, the attractive face of the headstock is a slim veneer. A couple of bridge grub screws have been attacked with a little too much force (not by me!) and are a little rounded, adjustment is with a screwdriver, or I flipped the saddle over and moved the screws by hand Comes with a terrible gig bag, will protect the bass to take home / ship but think of it as a consumable. New tuners have different hole positions - see pics. No trades on this one. Based in Chorley Lancashire - Can ship for £20.

How many times have you broken a string?
bagsieblue replied to PaulWarning's topic in General Discussion
Good question, 20 years of playing, 99% fingers. Broken 3 maybe 4 strings into total, often the D String.....?
