The striking visuals are enhanced by a matched headstock. Zebrano, a wood with characteristic grain that comes from West Africa, is known for providing strong mids in the instrument's tone. The MM-style humbuckers by MEC are responsible for a powerful and versatile tone transformation, which is possible thanks to a flexible switch system: both pickups are independently available in series, parallel or as single coils. Each model comes with 2-band electronics by MEC. As is the case with all Corvette models, the Corvette $$ Special Edition UK comes with an ergonomically shaped body. Black hardware gives the instrument its noble note. Each bass of this Special Edition bears the "Warwick Special Edition" laser engraving on the headstock's backside and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Only 10 SE LTD UK Zebranos were sold into the UK. Features: CO Corvette $$ 4 String Natural Oil Finish Swamp Ash / Vebrano Top Half Body Ovangkol / Matched Headstock Neck 24 frets Passive MEC MM-style humbuckers with large open pole pieces, coil switching for each pickup: serial, parallel and single coil Active MEC 2-way electronics Warwick machine heads Warwick 2-piece bridge Black hardware Pics here:
2. Well done on taking the initiative with this DamonJames - let me know if you need any support in any way....
3. Yep - sounds good to me, always looking to expand my horizons on bass and always good to meet other local BC'ers. Slightly off topic but maybe the Rehearsal Space also serve as a NW Bass Bash?
4. Been a naughty boy and bought something I shouldn't so need to shift this now. Now £199....
5. Bump to say that this book is great and a bargain. Recommended from me
6. Just a bump on this to say this book is an excellent resource. Certainly one of the better books out there.
7. Thanks Bilbo - I've worked through a few books and have others to work through so will take a look at that book. I was also looking for some input on how to learn / read / remember the 'sound' of different rhythms/patterns - especially the tricker syncopated / dotted / tied ones. I am comfortable with straight 8ths 16ths. I have found the "okachoobop" and "chick-en" etc useful. Any more of these, or maybe a visual table cross referencing rhythms and 'spoken' tags?

9. chrismuzz, I like the F1 very much. How you finding the BAM 210?
10. What real differences have you guys found between the F1 and the LM2/3??. Would be interested to hear differences.
11. No Tab. IMO tab is a short cut that, like most shortcuts, is actually the long way round. I dont get the non readers comments as you have to 'read' tab to some extent. Charts also need chords to be able to apply the dots to the underlying harmony. I've avoided tab like the plague for a couple of years now. I honestly believe that it seriously held me back over the years.
12. Great job, I think that looks fantastic. I've got a scruffyish Warwick Fortress that I would love to do something like this to. How easy would it be to remove - would there be any lasting 'damage' (for want of a better word) if removing?
13. I could take a string(or more) off if that helps anyone....... Now available as a 5, 4 3, 2 or 1 String variant....
14. On eBay with the obligatory higher price - but would prefer to sell on here.
