1. Still here - in response to questions via PM - spacing between the pickups is 3.5" polepiece to polepiece. Not entirely sure what the difference is or the influence on sound. Most sounds can be coaxed from the active Nordstand Pre or can revert to classic J set up of Vol, Vol, Tone by pulling the tone knob out.
2. Yep - used to be mine. Great bass, great price, great fella. Half tempted to have this back but I need to sell not buy.
3.
Any trades
Possibly, depends on what you've got but ideally looking for a sale.....PM me with any interesting offers.
4. Played this bass last weekend. Superb bass - will do everything you want and more. If I wasn't trying to trim the collection I'd be thinking ever more seriously about this one and taking Karl's usual advice of looking for an off licence to turn over Top, top bass - top top fella. Have a bump.
5. Bump..... - still in great condition for a 10 year old bass.
6. and a Hmmm.... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/219707-fsft-reduced-fender-cij-75-ri-jazz-bass-non-export-with-deluxe-super-jazz-nordstrand-upgrades/page__fromsearch__1 ????
7. Great vid, Jazz then the P for me. Also liked the Les Paul over the bridge pickup. Agreed on the amp comment - would be interesting to also compare through an amp with a pure sound.
8.
I can't stand it. Don't like the way he runs his company and all that but I quite fancy one. I've owned several in the past, even a really good copy but I don't need one. I certainly couldn't use it in my Police tribute. I can even get one interest free AAAARRRGGHGHGH help
Christmas is coming - it's silly season.
9. Did a trade with Jeff - easy, straightforward deal. Would happily deal with again. Thanks again Jeff.
10.
Where's Mr Bagsieblue?
Crying in the corner!. Fabulous bass bump...
11. This is the now discontinued USA Made SUB Model. Manufactured from 2003 to 2006 - the serial number dates this to early 2004.
12. I've only had this a day but there is something else I have my eye on so putting this back into the BC stock at £100. Jazz Bass, believed to be a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz with some beastly Samick pics. Recently acquired from our very own DarkHeart on this forum, very good refurb job done on this. GONE, GONE, GONE I'm in Chorley, Lancs, any trial or inspection is welcome. Feel free to check out my feedback for confidence of a hassle free transaction. Pictures from me:
13. Love Pearl Jam - Jeff Ament is one of my favourite bassists as well - a good, honest, solid player with some tasty lines. I think I prefer their 'simpler' songs, some of their stuff can be a bit indulgent but they are all good at what they do. Agree with some of the comments below - I don't think that musically they have become quite the band they could have. I'm thinking like the sum of the parts is not much more than the sum of whole for some reason. Still worth a listen to the back catalogue for any rockers though.
