1. Keep putting them up mate. I'm enjoying working through them and the anticipation and surprise of what you'll post next!. Keep fighting the good fight.....
 2.
really really like this bass! It may be perfect for a new project too, cash + camping gear perhaps (http://basschat.co.u...d-camping-gear/)?
yep - it's a really, really nice bass. Cash is good for me - camping gear not so good for me though!
 3.
I found that walking bass lines were a good thing to read, the rhythm is usually quite simple, but when there is a change it throws you 'cos you've gotten used to the quarter notes. The important thing is that the lines usually move around a lot, you often get a lot of none diatonic notes so you have to move around and it can get tricky when you get a lot of accidentals suddenly appear. The key's are sometimes awkward too.
yep - I find the rhythms harder than the notes, obviously especially so with trick rhythmns and heavily syncopated stuff.....

(reproduced without Stuart's permission at the time of writing, but I'm about to mail him)
These link through to the same file mate.
 5. I'm using them mate. Carry on putting them up please. Good work.
 6. Nice trade offer but need to release cash from the gear one way or another..... What's a boy to do??
 7.
I really must learn to read SN. But it's hard and I keep giving up
Practice, practice, practice my girl...
 8.
Back in Leeds again this weekend with the MM Sterling....any chance of a part-ex?
ahhh.... you are a very bad man.. bump, still here...

 10.
The best way I can sum up this book is that the concept is excellent, but the presentation/teaching aspect leaves a bit to be desired.
+1 to that. You do need to sort of 'understand' the way he is trying to present the information. It's all good stuff but not as intuitive to understand first off as it could be. I found it better to use this book alone while I was in the right mode of thinking to work through it. When I come back to the book it takes me a while to flip my brain into the way the material is presented. Good Book though.
 11. In a couple of my recent sales threads I mentioned my job insecurity, today I was given notice of redundancy so I have be sensible about the basses. Up for sale is my SGC Nanyo Bass Collection SB320. These basses are well regarded on here. I've had a number of Bass Collections and IMO the SB320's are the best of the bunch and they are all superb basses. The bass is extremely light, sounds great. It has gold hardware with the Gotoh tuners, P/J pickup configuration with SGC written on the pickups and SGC Nanyo Bass Collection on the battery cover Colour is a kind of blacky / browny translucent effect. Price is £249. Located in Chorley, Lancs - any trial or inspection welcome.
 12. Go on then I'll bite, lets see the pics
 13. Agreed Happy Jack.... We are in contact over it..
 14. OK... I'll back out then, if you get it and decide to move it on drop me a line for first refusal would be appreciated??
 15.
Hope I'm not raining on anyone's parade by posting this, but this could be the bargain of the year: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sgc-5-string-bass-guitar-in-metalic-blue-/331000988007?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item4d11324167 One day to go, no bids, start price = £80.
I was planning to bid on this, been after a 5er of these for a while. Anybody else on here planning on bidding?, I don't really want to be bidding against a fellow BC'er.
 16. Nice basses Laklands but not quite what I'm looking for.
 17.
See, I know they're excellent basses but I think they look a bit rubbish. I'm just so unattracted to them even though I know its worth every penny of £125! Good luck with the sale, I'm sure someone will snap it up! Truckstop
It's the headstock isn't it??, isn't it??, tell me it's the headstock.
 18.
Have you posted on the Warwick forum yet? ... you might get a bite there.
Good idea - yep, now copied and pasted onto the Warwick forum.... Thanks Fionn
 19. The 'de facto' passive bass for me is a (Fender) P bass.
 20. For my money the biggest 'mod' you can make is your strings.....
 21. Preferred trade option now gone so looking for a NT Warwick or cold hard cash!!!!
