1. Nice basses Laklands but not quite what I'm looking for.
2.
See, I know they're excellent basses but I think they look a bit rubbish. I'm just so unattracted to them even though I know its worth every penny of £125! Good luck with the sale, I'm sure someone will snap it up! Truckstop
It's the headstock isn't it??, isn't it??, tell me it's the headstock.
3.
Have you posted on the Warwick forum yet? ... you might get a bite there.
Good idea - yep, now copied and pasted onto the Warwick forum.... Thanks Fionn
4. The 'de facto' passive bass for me is a (Fender) P bass.
5. For my money the biggest 'mod' you can make is your strings.....
6. Preferred trade option now gone so looking for a NT Warwick or cold hard cash!!!!
7. Absolute bargain. A better bass for just over £100 you will not find. Market prices are all over the place at the moment but this is worth at least twice this price. Despite a bit of a cult following these are by far the most undervalued, under appreciated basses you can buy. Anyone thinking about this, just buy it - you WILL NOT be disappointed. GLWTS
8. Great lessons these, quite simple but effective stuff I encourage everyone to have a look through this and Matt's other stuff - keep up the good work fella...
9. Once played a gig at Myerscough College one mid week night Room was busy but we got virtually no reaction (originals band), students mainly sitting round talking etc. On the following Saturday afternoon I was in a busy Our Price (remember them?) in Blackburn Town Centre. I hear "Hey, it's him out of that band that other night!" and a group of 5 or 6 people come over and start talking. The rest of the people in the shop all turn round for a look, while the students say all the usual...though you were brilliant, do they have your records in here etc. Strange I says to them as we though we bombed by getting no reaction at the gig. Felt famous for a split second......(and couldn't get out quick enough...)
10. Sold a Bass to Donovan. Despite the UK > Belgium transaction it was a very easy deal, Great communication and a top bloke. Thanks Donovan.
11. Sold a bass body to Dazz14. Good communications and swift payment. A great all round transaction so easy to Recommend.
12. Yep, could be 61mm, the edges are (intentionally) chamfered/beveled so not easy to measure. Nut measurement is 41mm
13. Sold an amp to Phil. Good comms, swift payment, have dealt with before and will deal with again without any worries.
14.
Gah. I used to post on this site a lot, I stopped because I found myself In the basses for sale section more than actually playing. I came back just for a bit of a peek, a bit of a lurk. I keep visiting this page. I might have to pm. I was hoping someone would buy this and take away the temptation.
Well..you see the button saying 'Send Me A Message'. ??
15. Ash bought some tuning pegs from me. Made an acceptable offer, paid money quickly and I posted. An easy, straight forward deal.
16.
Not used preloved but Gumtree is straightforward. I use it for instruments I'm not prepared to ship. Just be prepared for some tire-kickers and lowballers (and keep your wits about you) and its a great place to sell.
+1 to this Mr EAD. I've recently had a right royal runaround on Gumtree recently. Dealing more with the 'general public' lets say so have your wits about you. I've put a couple of cars on there before now as well that have attracted some, ahem, intersting characters. Preloved is similar but on a smaller scale. But, of course, if no joy selling on here then it attracts a wider audience.
17. Yep - nice bass. Sad to sell it but wasn't really being played and planning to fund other things...... Enjoy......
18. Sold a Fretless Warwick to Gerald. Perfect transaction, great communication, paid when he said he would etc. Would happily deal with again in future. Enjoy the bass....
19. Good points above. EBay certainly, unfortunately, is a wider audience. Maybe people get excited and caught up in bidding as well??
20. Farida... Anybody else is just trying to justify their expensive purchase......
21.
I don't think they are selling particularly well on ebay at the moment, guitars certainly aren't. I don't think much is selling as well as it was a few years ago.
I've had more luck in selling, at higher prices to boot, on eBay recently.
